Its not a dedicated puller, he just don't drive it. There no point in pulling in the class with a built truck. (It may pass tech but that not the point) The class was designed for truck that gets drove everyday. Be for everybody starts i'm not *****n because a dmax didnt win. I have three cummins.

Well then take one of your 3 cummins and put it on the track or are you just a mouth on the other side of a computer? What are the rules for being a cry babie do you meet the requirements? Also I can drive my truck everyday you pay for my fuel and I will do it I just preferr to drive my gas saver if that is ok with U? TJ all his buddies Chris Garrett his woman House and all his crew were nothing but nice to me also Wes even said good job the hook was close and if Wes would have won am I supposed to start crying "That aint no street truck *Whine**Whine* No he has been top of his class hands down and it was a pleasure to pull and win but as I said if he won then so be it im sure he feels the same way it is fun and PLAIN AND SIMPLE IT IS A COMPETITION NOT FOR CRYBABBIES WHINE PISS COMPLAIN BUT NOT TO ME!

How did a daliy driver truck get in the open class with a bunch of trailer only trucks and was able to get in the top 5? :hehe:

only 6 trucks in the class and one of them had problems and couldnt get off the line...

i thought it was odd but hey, i went home with empty pockets and chase didnt...seems like it was a smart move to me. but now next year there are gonna be 20 DD in the class hoping to pull out a 5th place finish behind the mod trucks and win some money

I know, if it was allowed and you used it, it wouldn't be cheating would it?

According to some it would be "THAT AINT NO STRRET TRUCK YOU CAN ONLY RUN THE NOS STUFF ON TITANIUM RODS AND CHROME PLATED PISTONS" :hehe::woohoo:

I dont konw where you get your work done but if i cost 5k-10k i think i would be thinking about going with a dirrerent shop or just doing the work myself[/QUOTE]

the same place brandon and the other top pullers buy there stuff. Believe it or not an intake, exhaust and programmer isn't gonna win you any pulls

I know its not that is why i run a 12v

And apparently, not enough of one...otherwise you wouldn't be whining about Nitrous being allowed at the TS hook;)

I guess i just dont see the point in building a dedicated puller just to enter it in with a bunch of street trucks, when theres a class perfect for his truck Its not like it wouldnt have been competitive in the 2.8

Your right you dont get the point. Do you think that just because he won he was the only one that built his truck just to run it that class if so you are dead wrong. Hell every truck that was in that class was built to some extent I would even say that there wasnt one completly stock truck in that class.

I will admit when i saw brandon run i would have put a hundred dollar bill down on the table saying it wasnt in the right class.

So now after seeing him run i know it is back to the drawing boards for a lot of people. I have talked to brandon and he seems like a good guy. i just think that a lot of people think that building a dedicated 2.5 is pointless since it is such a under horse powered class. and since that truck is as hot as it is that it should have been in the 2.8. Now if brandon shows up to indy and runs in the workstock and not at least the 2.6 then that is going to open a whole nother bag of worms. So brandon my advise is stop listening to all the b*** S*** and just bite your toung until indy. then see what your truck does out there. and if it kicks butt like this weekend then you can put it back in everyones face. Because there are a lot of dedicated 2.6 pullin trucks out there$.02

The truck is a 2.5 truck...what's so dedicated about it. He doesn't run anything that is not widely available, and the turbo is still the limiting factor for power...so what's the big deal?

I'll be running basically the same engine setup with a 64/71/13SS over an S480...does that mean mine is a dedicated drag truck??

Well that is the thing I am not bragging like I said I wanted just the top 10 atleast and I was supprised it did so good I just came to play not to win and I just got lucky but if I can hang with Wes (which only time will tell) that says alot cause his truck hooks SUPER GOOD and as a matter of fact through out my build he is all I thought about cause as I said I seen his truck pull a number of times and I tell U imperssive to say the least!!!

i've already put together a first place pulling truck so i know what it takes, unfortunatley i had to sale it so i could buy a house and start a family. there will be another truck in the stable come this fall . Brandon just bought his first diesel(his puller) last summer, but instead of bashing people on here he read threads on what works best and had veteran pullers help him work on his truck and give advice.Brandon is very smart and worked very hard to get that truck where it is now.

I am not bashing him. I thought is was a very good run. I just think taht he would have had more competition in the 2.8 class. not saying that he couldnt have pulled in both classes
