S468 on with pics!

i would like to try one, but little screws near the inlet of the turbo.........

and everyone that sells them clearly says NO warranty if anything happens to the turbo.

I don't foresee the shaft screws being a problem from the pictures i'm seeing but could have a different conclusion upon holding the piece in my hand. If I think they are really of that much concern a simple small weld on the shaft would fix any chance of them backing out i'd certainly think. Thanks for the concern though, it is a valid one. On the other side of this everything i've read about actual trials of this piece is very posative. Alsmost like having compound turbo abilities out of a single. Time will tell if that's correct however.

only potential problem you'd run into is surge, but you can play with the tension or the signal on the actuator to optimize spool and minimize surge.

looking forward to seeing how it works out for you :)

Bingo Forrest! I have the adjustable boost elbow I first bought when running around on the stock hx35 that should do a fine job of regulating boost to the actuator on the diaphram. If too much boost comes on too early then i'll dial it back. The actuator is set to crack at 4psi and fully open at 10psi according to Tim. I don't foresee any surging if running it that loose. I can't wait to try it out!

So basically its just blocking off half of the t4 flange to increase the velocity of the exhaust gas which should help spool the turbo quicker, but once a certain amount of boost is reached, it opens up to allow the exhaust gasses to flow as normal?

That's the idea! You must have an undivided area before the quick spool flange and the quick spool flange must bolt to a divided turbine housing.

Not sure off top of my head. It's the filter from the AFE stage 2 setup so just call them and i'm sure they can tell you. 6" inlet

Hey is anybody here going to the diesel meet here in Bowling Green, KY comming up in a couple of weeks? I should be there with the test truck.

Richard, there's a ton of people from this board heading up there! I won't be one of them though, too far for me.

Yea we are going to make some changes on the test truck, like I said it is stock. Just going up there to get the name out.

Come on Nick you gotta come.

I am going to talking to T/S Performance about doing a little sponcering at the event.

I wish the other truck was ready with the compound set-up. An HX40 and a HT3B both with QSF's.

Going to be installing the quick spool flange today guys. I'll let everyone know how it turns out if everything works out. Have to move my down pipe back a bit and will have to move/modify a few other things to get it to work. Will have details up upon completion.

This weekend is out biannual hotrod show in ocean city maryland. It's a pretty big event with thousands in attendance! I hope to have some driving time on it by the weekend for all impressions.

You leaving the waste gate spacer out for this? It wont clear the shock tower with both of them will it?

Brett, it clears and that's how I have it run, wastegate spacer then qsf. It spools waaaay faster but need to tune somethings and keep tinkering. I'll report back soon guys! So far i'm happy with the improvement!
