S468 on with pics!

Thanks guys, the truck is a fricken blast to run down the track and when I get this turbo over 15 psi it's unreal for a truck of this weight to move like this! Not fast by many standards of those here but for a big ole tractor technology truck it's pretty amazing to me!

he knows more about Nick's truck than Nick does!

Oh leave ole Andy alone, afterall, he is right in that Delmar is like an ice skating rink compared to cecil. Most refer to running at Cecil as "The Cecil Mod". It's good for about 2 tenths every time ha. Maybe I need to head over there:evil

I was actually talking about a COMP461-styled header with a little more thought/design behind it.

As for the intake, i was talking about either removing the stocker and/or purchasing/fabbing an aftermarket unit with runners/etc. for what it's worth, I gained 3psi boost at cruising (55-70) speeds with a handmade 3" mandrel bent intake "horn" (no other mods/changes on the comparison, obviously)

When doing the head i'd give the intake idea some serious consideration. Just not there yet. Thanks for the suggestions though:Cheer:

yeah, I suppose he hasn't really been following your build as closely as I have... I know of the intermediate testing you've done and using your acceleration testing, etc.

congrats on almost hitting 11's. if you don't mind could you pm me on how much ED hit you to make that charger, because i think it should work nicely for me especially seeing as how i have very similar fuel and goals, except my truck only weighs 6150lbs

Glenn at E.D. just brought me my S468 last night at beer night. Im waiting for the PDI T-4 manifold to get here then Ill be putting it on and getting ready for the dyno at TS.

some people just like to drink the haterade

Imagine that....I seem to not see anything I said which even related to have you make a comment like that,But,Thats cool.Kind of a lame shot there wasn't it TJ,but, then again your good at that.

Nope, again never said that either.Do know the tracks and how the weather conditions affect them, something you would not know.Go back to pimping products Forrest your better at that than sarcasm.

Nick..
I know you have been around the block but I was mearely trying to get you to make comparisons that may show if you actually made a difference with the new charger.See from the outsiders look you changed the manifold and the turbo and its hard to see how any comparisons can be made honestly. When people read your posts all they read is how much et you gained by the turbo swap and most do not realize you never went back to the track after you removed Bodie's manifold. You keep saying how much better the big Schwitzer spools over the Turbonetics and I am saying they didn't get equal time to make a comparison. As you know many other outside factors could attribute to your et gains instead of the turbo.

So you know I am relaxed..........Andy

Well Andy, I do recall him saying something about the temperature differnce between the two runs and how that might of affected the better time then your questioning that he changed the weight of the truck to mislead the difference. Then your talking about him running on two different tracks, in which both runs were at Del MAr. Then your calling it a S465 when it's actually a S468.

Next time pay more attention to the original post.

What is the temp rating on your poly tubing? That would bother me just a little. I ran the flexpipe on the other side of the downpipe, and it worked out. I didn't think it would fit on that side, but you proved otherwise!

Looks good.

i forgot to mention before, i've used that line on a few wastegates before, never had an issue.

He could have ran both turbos with both manifolds, on the same day, same track and posted results and Andy would still find a way to downplay the results...barometric pressure, heat soak in the engine etc.

I just call it like I see it...you call it a cheap shot...oh well thats your opinion.

Congrats to Nick, his truck is now running and performing the way it should with even more great track times to come.
