Scheids rules...

I finnally got a chance to read the whole thread and i believe i was trying to say all of this 6 months ago in the 2010 turbo rule thread. I argued that bushings and custom chargers were the same and not needed in a street class. (nor are driveshaft loops, ujoint shields, 5.13 gears, tranny blankets and other non dot approved devices) But since custom chargers were alowed, i should be able to bush mine down for the class. People made jokes and said all sorts of things like lockem down. Now here we are, same f#ckin argument with the non bushed people not liking the rules.

As far as the sandbaggin trucks that dont have what it takes to run 2.8 droppin to 2.6, they probably couldnt beat the top 2.6 trucks anyway because the top 2.6 should probably be 2.8 to begin with. There will always be the class overlap

Look at Ragged out. Damn good running truck in 2.8 (obviously since he won last year) with stock driveline could jump to 3.0 open drive and hold his own yet he fits in 2.8. That is how **** works in motorsports.

Im goin to take my 2.8 s400 bushed to 2.6, run it against what ever other big chargers there will be, and hopefully come home unbroken. Should be a good time.

guys, you can run a bushing in 3.0, the wheel just has to protrude into the bore. think about that for a second. what do you think all the top 3.0 guys are running? the same as the 2.6 guys? hell no!!!! they just have to take one more step, thats why its such a competitive class, just slow down and think about what that little adjustment to the rules would do. never will you have time to tech over 100 trucks like at ts for inducer and exducer and exhaust and all that other nonsense. its time where if you want to be on top you need to make some changes. all the vp guys that want to stay dominant will eventually all go p pump. until then they'll be top 5 or 10. facts are facts, scheid wanted to stay on top so he went 3 chargers, same with common rails doing twin cp3s. this is all part of moving forward.

You wouldn't need to Tech a certified charger unless it was protested. Don't you realize that many classes are designated 2.75/3", 3/3", 3/4", and 4/4", the second measurement being the turbine exducer. What the hell do I know, let them bush an S4T down for the 2.6" class for all I care.

yeah i understand how the super farm and light limited classes and so fourth are constucted, but aren't they allowed to bush if the wheel protrudes? im pretty sure ive read that somewhere.

And how many people are going to take there turbo off and have the fins clipped to enter into the 3" bushing JUST for Scheids. Not me! No big deal though. Best of luck to everyone. Come home with no broken parts would be a win in my book!
