silverbullet help

well i lost another bullet today while cruising on the highway, doing 60-65 egt under 800* at 1 psi it startes to pour smoke out the tail pipe and started making the ratteling noise so i pulled over and looked at it and the wheels hit the housings bad. pulling it tomorrow and shipping it out

something deff. ain't right.......

find it bullchit to pay shipping everytime as well!!

wtf!!! i dont think its possible to have that many malfunctioned silver bullets! either your full of crap or your truck created feelings and hates silver bullets.

i had a problem with my silver bullet recently too exhaust housing cracked. They are going to look at it and hopefully help me out just sucks the time i cant drive my truck.

i have put 4 on the truck since february, this has been the worst one for letting go, the others just had in and out play so i had them fixed before the wheels hit the housing but this last one really let go and ground down the wheels and has lots of play, i was hearing the wheels rattleing against the housing while sitting at idle ( it was loud) and it was pouring oil into the intake and exhaust, got pulled over 2 times last night for the oil smoke

have you thought about loosening the wastgate a little? maybe you are pushing them too hard? I dunno just a thought

the gate is loose on it when the boost hits it shoots to 53 then back down to 48-50 when the gate opens, thats how i had this one set up

yeah it should handle that! my sps 62 sees 55 then back to right around 50!

well im getting the turbo back, who wants it its a brand new one with the 360* thrust bearings. Im now going to run a k31 as a single

Brake cleaner for cleaning engine parts!!!!! NO NO NO

oil feed line is clean blew air and brakeclean through it to make sure it was clean, primed it with a pressurized pump with clean oil, let it idle for 10 min before i hit the throttle and then drove it 100 miles before it saw over 10 psi
Try spraying a piece of steel with brake cleaner and let it dry. Now spray a piece of steel with carb cleaner and let it dry. Now pour oil on both and stand up the 2 pieces. The oil will completely run off the piece of steel cleaned with brake cleaner. Also, brake cleaner attacks and breaks down oil BIG TIME. This little test was performed infront of me by Smokey Yunick himself, and that is what happens. I cleaned a cam with brake kleen on a rag once. Put the engine together and knocked the cam bearings out of the engine within 15 miles on the highway. Never again will I clean engine parts with brake cleaner.

Im dealing with the same thing with my super b special, second one is on its way out. Im not even going to waste my time sending it back to bd for warranty, I dont want to deal with a month and half wait and a bill on a month and half old charger and this time it only lasted a few weeks. Im sending it to shop that I trust and know he knows what he is doing. I had a old old charger on my truck befor my super b special that he built and had no issues at all. Ill let you guys know what he says about why and howcome they keep going bad.

chad you need to get a silver bullet! either then this guys experience i think they are awesome!

well i have a s472 on there and i have had no problems at all there is no shaft play, with the bullet i would install it prime it with oil take it easy for the first few hundred miles and then start to bring it up on boost and it never went above 50 psi, after i would do a few highway pulls there would be some in and out play on the shaft, and there was none to start with, have been running this new charger for a while and i have been beating on it everyday with no problems

are you going to get some new numbers any time soon? whats the dimensions on that new charger?
