That a boy Sleddy! You forget my gasser trash had mufflers :bangalso, I don't like loud motors. My gasser still went 11.40 at 6500 lbs in pulling trim, Street legal also. LOL Boy I like the winter.

I would have to agree with disturbed on this one. If there is no insurance I can assure you your own truck insurance does not have a million dollar policy, if they will even cover you. I would not risk pulling with someone without decent insurance.

my insurance company told me that as soon as i drove onto the track my coverage went away. i dont think many insuarance agencies will cover that if any.

call it what you want, it is still one of the biggest events of the year and a LOT of fun.

The problem with trying to control number of stages and jet sizes; intelligent people will figure out how to double the feed pressure and put the lines at risk of bursting just to get that little advantage. I imagine some guys would try a mix of o2 and no2. It seems like any sort of spray will be difficult to "police."

You have got to be kidding me:bang:hehe:

You really don't have any idea what you are talking about do you?:hehe:

Big deal if they would blow the line nothing going to happen except some cold gas will come out of it. not even going to comment on your second statement.

who cares............spray it if you have balls

Who cares. It also makes the teching easier.

I say open it up to spray....I'd like to see more carnage on the track anyway. If they don't know what they're doing it'll show real quick :hehe:

I agree with these guys. It seperates the ones that are afraid from the ones with real spirit. The ones that vote no are afraid.

I like to see an outlaw pull but for the most part nitrous would not work in pulling. If you allow nitrous then there is no way to make rules anymore. Inducer sizes will no longer restrict air inlets since condensed oxegen is getting piped right to the engine. Its great for brush pulls cause there is usually just one class of run what ya brung so get out there and go for it. But if we want to keep induvidual classes seperate then no way will nitrous work for that.

Safety I dont think will be a big deal, I have expected to see all kinds of carnage at the TS pulls and really there has been very little breakage compared to Scheids DE.

Nitrous oxide is made up of 2 parts nitrogen and one part oxygen (36% oxygen by weight). During the combustion process in an engine, at about 572 degrees F, nitrous breaks down and releases oxygen. This extra oxygen creates additional power by allowing more fuel to be burned. Nitrogen acts to buffer, or dampen the increased cylinder pressures helping to control the combustion process. Nitrous also has a tremendous “inter cooling” effect by reducing intake charge temperatures by 60 to 75 degrees F. with that being said then why dont we ban liquid to air intercoolers in all classes?

Followed by a jet of liquid nitrogen. That ought to cool off the intake charge.

I don't claim to know a ton about n20. The point of my comment was when you allow gases to be injected, you will have to come up with a creative way to inspect and regulate the injected gasses whether they be nitrous oxide, pure oxygen, or some other power enhancer oxidizer, fuel, or both.
