So if Nawzzz is legal on the track and illegal on the street........Why is my hoodstack legal on the street but illegal on the track???????

Why Do we Drive on a Parkway, And Park on a Drive way? LOL

Is your Hoodstack really Legal on the Street?

See this points out another "misconception" regarding the use of nitrous though. The QUANTITY of nitrous used DOES NOT determine the AMOUNT of hp gained!! There is no such thing as X size jet is a "50 shot" on diesels. More nitrous does not always equal more HP. The other determining factor(but not the only) is the amount the engine is over fueled. It takes alot of tuning to get the proper combination of jet size and fueling for optimum performance. You can have two different trucks, one will increase hp as the jet size increases, the other will decrease hp and vise versa.

Never said 50 hp shot. I said jet size, i.e. .110, .073 etc

jet size determins flow amount.

The same can be said about turbo size. I make more hp with a 64 than a 66, because I'm in the map at the higher boost pressures needed.

But there would have to be a limit.

dockboy that was my point exactly in my post maybe I said it diff?

100 dollars says dockboy doesnt hook up nitrous for anyone but himself, do you help the competition beat you? no, it would have to be for a **** ton of money if he did. Im not adjusting rules to make it affordable just to make it fair. you dont disqualify a guy in the sportsman class of drag racing because he has spray and you have a badd ass built 602. you cant its racing make power anyway you can.

Looks like the poll was a land slide. Nitrous in sled pulling is for homos or an open class.

Oh my god! Somebody start a poll about nitrous at the drag strip! So they stay out of this thread! If you dont pull why are you talking about this??? Us pullers dont want it!!! Discussion over! We never said anything about it on the drag strip, but yet you are still trying to convince us to us it for sled pulling! ITS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN!!

because your young prodigy's compared it to street use and everything else. you guys want a more competitive series let guys run it if they want, if they dont know what they are doing it will blow up and you have nothing to worry about. It being proven the only reason people dont want it is because they will lose. Look how competitive drag racing is you have guys running the same exact time one spraying one not only winning because he cut a better light. the nitrous had nothing to do with that race. Its not always about nitrous. This thread isnt getting anywhere anyways. Im just stating my opinion and giving facts to why yours arent very good opinions...lol

1 pull out of the whole year doesn't mean it's gonna change the whole scene to consider nitrous.

For the guy that said let them run nitrous and let them blow thier stuff up. I would like you to explain that analogy to an insurance company??? We are trying to make pulling safer not more dangerous??

I would love to talk to a insurance company and ask them why they dont allow it. they dont even know, they have seen fast and the furious to many times. They will say did you see what happen to that eclipse on tv the green one, thats why!!!! duh.

Again you are not getting it.... Outlaw99 and Dockboy both of you seem to have alot of experience with Nitrous but alot of guys don't. It seems that even guys with experience with nitrous have had problems with it. As for The eclipse in fast in the furious if somebody pulls onto the track with guns and shoots the hell out of someones truck I think we will have bigger problems then a nitrous bottle.

It will be used more than one event!!! You just may not know it. If it makes power, somone will use it... no matter how much people complain about it!!! It's been out lawed in gas pulling for years and theirs people use it all the time!!! Sorry but iv seen it happen!

100% legal in Indiana. just got to do a little research into the motor vehicle code and you would be suprized were it is legal. And if anyone thinks it illegal in Indiana......Why was my truck parked outside a State Police post for 5 weeks (internship) and not 1 trooper asked about the legality of it???

And once everyone see's that trucks dont get teched. Everyone will quit showing up to those pulls as well. Otherwise its just a brush pull that is an open time class that doesnt matter.

2tone12v How far do ya go with teching a truck? Do ya want them tearing down your hole truck looking for infractions? Let me say this,im not using NOS!!! But back a few year ago i did in a gasser(itpa truck) and did so for a wile, my truck was teched most every pull and didnt find anything! People will find a way around rules... But thats my take on it. ???

So you "were" a cheater?

I voted NO, but will say that there is a place for it in pulling.

I think it should be kept out of the workstock and street legal classes (such as 2.5 and 2.6).

2.8 (not sure where I stand on that, but at this point would lean toward NO).

3.0 and bigger I'm all for it. As it is, many seem like they could use more air and this can be a perfect and safe use of it. Most guys running this class are pretty educated to the do's and don'ts as well as have all the required safety equipment.

:nos::Cheer:
