Street class with a claimer rule?

i paid 1550$ for my scheid charger NEW

So you come to a pull, I get it for $1250 and you can buy it back at the next pull for $1250. Your just loaning it to me for a hook or two.

Interesting rule I would be all for it both me and my brother run off the shelf turbos. Just don't want to push somebody out of coming to a pull because they don't want to loose thier turbo???

What if you get a charger that is bigger than yours in one way or another and you can't light it with whatever you have, be it converter, fueling..

Frist of all a 2.6 class is just as much a peformance class as a 2.8 or 3.0. and why shouldent the bigger classes do it also??

I think it would be a good idea. It would make people think twice about trying to cheat!!

It's an attempt to keep an entry level class just that, entry level.

Read all of the posts. THE ENTRY LEVEL CLASS SHOULD BE A CLAIMER CLASS. If you have a 2.6 and a 2.8 then the 2.6 would be the claimer. If you have a 2.4, 2.6, and 2.8, then the 2.4 will be a claimer. I don't think some of the people realize the amount of money it will take to keep a truck competitive(driveline, engine, fuel system) in some of the classes.

So if I beat a chevy at a pull, he gets butt hurt claims my turboS id trade hime two for one..?

Nope, he gets your chargers, and you get the cash. I would say that if the owner can prove the chargers are stock, then the claimer rule could be thrown out. We need to be realistic though. Come on, a ford winning who you trying to fool??

Most claimer classes I have seen, if someone chooses to put up the money they get the other persons part and give that person thiers.

Not in dirt racing. It's intent is to keep things equal. Dirt it's the engine. Here it would be the turbo. The intended part should be replacable for the amount set forth in the rule. You, the claimer, claim it (turbo) for $1250. That amount is given to the claimee in exchange for his turbo. You claimed it, it's yours. You put up $1250 for it. The claimee takes the money and replaces his turbo.
The kicker here is. You claimed it and put up a bunch of money for it. You better be sure because you could end up with a cobbed up piece of crap.

But what stops some guy with a stocker truck that just wants to come in there and get a good turbo for his stock truck. So throws up 1250 dollars and walah he has a nice turbo. Have to be sum sorta regualtion on this rule somehow. It's an awesome idea just gonna be hard to regualte and inforce IMO.

Well I think you have found some facts as to who has some cash in their charger. Some even came back and said, "that it wasn't for them, it was their fellow pullers they were looking out for"

So after we all survive the bomb, we are picking out shrapnel, you stop by to throw in another grenade!
