Tired of 8000 lbs Classes

I would have loved to pull at TS, but i was there for the diesel power challenge, had way too big of a turbo to be in any pulling classes. Next year i would like to make it and run 2.6. Im not going to make any promises though...

I hear ya on the money thing. Not sure what you meant by the "way too big" comment though.

3.1 inducer, no bushing

So i got a question, if fords are such a non threat... why even bother talking chit to them? Seams to me like you could just let the track prove some things and you would have nothing to worry about correct? Just a question.

And I always thought Ford guys were the hard headed, sh*t don't stink people type of people.....

FYI, the 6.4 that was suppose to be at TS is together and running I believe.

We have let the track prove a point. Point is Ford cant compete but then theres always some Ford guy that has an excuse. Why did you have a 3.1 turbo on your truck? Shooting for 1000hp?

you bet. with a stock injection pump and 60 hp nozzles... just what i had available to me Garrett style charger, not going to flow as much as a BW turbo... going to try a mid frame turbo next.

Thats the problem- they wont get on the track.

But they never let up on how bad ass their truck is.... I have been nice to them for 10 years, no more, let the abuse begin.

It isnt just Diesel, the gasser trash Forders are the same way.:hehe:

In fact, its prolly more fun to trounce an "I own a Eff TWee Fiddy 460 with a Holley Double whiz bang need a powerfalve no muffler pos, than it is a powerstroke. At least they actually go on the track.LOLLOL

OK mister money... thats fine thats your opinion

The bickering over rules will never stop. You're asking to change the rules to fit your truck. You're not asking your truck to change to fit the rules.

It is my opinion, it just happens to be correct, and the way things are!!!:clap:LOL

If only the the old Diesel-Central.com was still around, now those were some Ford vs the real world fights!

Bunch of propane sniffers on there.

It doesnt make sense to change the rules for 1 style truck then the others suffer what happens to a st cab 1st gen, 2nd gen or a st cab DMAX they would have to hang 3000 lbs If we change the rules for the fat Fords. If you want to pull I guess dont get CC/LB Ferd or if you do be prepared to strip. House used to get his truck under 8k and that was including himself driving which was an extra 400 lbs. Besides I have yet to see a 6.4 pull I've seen plenty of LMM or 6.7s CTD 07 and newer but the 6.4 guys talk about how bada$$ there trucks are but yet I never see them at pulls. I dont get it

Anyone on here with a 6.4 talk about how bad azz there chit is? I dont see it, so it must be some phantom owners.

Like i said if its such a non threat this conversation shouldnt even happen... good day

To your credit, I think there are a bunch of Ford fans who don't own a competition vehicle that want the 6.4 to be badass, so they can feel better about themselves. As always, it's the bench warmers making all the nonsensical racket...the old "you just wait" thing.

Pretty certain dzchey21 whipped all your Cummins guys and all the D-Maxes in the sled pull at the Diesel Power Challenge.

.

DPC sledpull isn't representative of the real world since drugs are fashionable with those guys. I wish they would cut that crap out.

However, a win is a win, ain't gonna argue that.

Im not preaching any of that... just a small time dude trying to make a decent truck, and still daily drive the thing.

And im sure maybe on other forums that there are people with that attitude, but i know the reality of things, its going to take alot of work to make a ford competitive, but i also hate the attitude that it will "never" happen... how do you know can you see the future?
Im just saying im never going to do a cummins swap, buy a dodge, or a duramax, im just going to keep plugging away with what i got, and bottom line is to have fun, pretty sure thats why everyone does what they do anyway, if its not fun whats the point?

I agree with that but if they allow the same truck to use nitrous for the drag racing part, its pretty hard to enforce throughout the event.

pulled last year at Scheids with 400# hangin and was 60# shy of 8k and placed 10th in 2.8 with a broken axel.(I call that competing Sleddy)

This was your Cummins powered Ford, right Bean?
