Truckers, lets see your rigs!

Is a 177148 a BW replacement for the stock Cat charger?

If so, my dad put on on his 3406c and was happy with it. He was getting to much smoke and heat so he had a friend of ours that we pull with build him and S475 with a billet compressor wheel and a race cover. He said he gained a bunch over the BW replacement charger. Now he wants more! Thinking about stepping up to a S480.

He ran the S475 on his 3406b in his puller before he put it on his 3406c.It was a huge gain over the stock Cat charger. Truck pulled very, very well with just the change in chargers. He was only 20' behind the KTA that usually puts 40'+ on him.

Hard to find and not cheap, I'd say between $2-3K if you can find a part number to look for.

Makes a $1600 177148 look cheap and I have yet to hear anyone complain that has installed one of these on a B/C model.

1000€ I think, I paid 1400€ for 80/92/32, industrial turbo for same engine. Everything is expensive here.

What size is 177148 ?

When my MBN gets an inframe I told my boss we're putting acert compounds on it to go with all the other cool stuff he's doing with it. Lol

Just need a steel bar to bolt the bracket to since the block doesn't have the bolt holes for it.

Or go custom.

75mm compressor, 92/84mm turbine, though I'm not sure of exducer with 1.32 internally gated housing.

The cat compressor cover outflows any of the other compressor covers, that has been proven by other people, so nothing was gained by the race cover, likely everything that was gained was gained on the turbine side as the turbine was larger in the non cat turbo.

Columbus gets $2200 for their truck HX60 which probably has the 97/92mm turbine, and I'm not sure but I don't think you can buy it from cummins for less than that, I have never priced one, only ever priced their big turbos.

Compressor is quite optimal. Is it Garrett ? Those wheels are about the same size as Scania 16 liter GT47. Volvo has also same turbine but smaller compressor inducer of 68mm, still made over 700 to the wheels.

I'm sure the original cat turbo it is based off of is a garrett GT4702, but that is a BW S410 series turbo.

Thanks to the lady that decided to hit me this morning, a new 20 inch box bumper will be on the way when the insurance pays.

Got a new best of 5.29 out of the Accert last tank. I still don't really believe it lol. Power goes down and mileage goes up haha.

My new ride finally left last night on its first trip. While I barely got loaded before I got sent home.
Super super happy with how it turned out.
