I love the sound of a CAT 3408 as well! One of my favorite big diesels. Love the sound of a Mack E9 as well. Scania makes some nice V-8 diesels also.

3508 just too big to fit in an otr.

We've got them in our older 777 haul trucks.

I work at Caterpillar where the 3500s are built. There's no way I could see how anyone could shoehorn a 3508 would fit in an OTR truck. If you could that thing would run good. I love the sound from the test cells when they load them down hard. 3508s we build for the triple 7s and D11s look little in the building compared to all the 12s and 16s but still a big engine.

Pretty nice 359 Pete came yesterday to pick up my wrecker. They are going to restore it (what little it needs) as a show truck. :D
