Truckers, lets see your rigs!

Depends on how you look at it, if you're going to a place where you can only get a 10 wheeler in, it's a lot more efficient than 2 trips to the plant. I stockpiled with one for a day and that was enough for me.

Here they use semi end dumps or 6-7 axle dump trucks to stockpile close to jobsite and small trucks take it into jobsite if a smaller truck is needed.

I noticed the guy looked inside the bed after he locked it. That's a guy that's dumped the transfer body out on the ground before. Lol

Anyone ever run into an E motor that breaks cam thrust bolts when you turn it over? We had an engine donated, showed up with broken bolts, went back together and has the same issue. Just curious.

I'll have to get some. Engine is super tight to turn over. Pull cam gear engine turns over fine. Cam turns fine in the bore. Get gear train setup and bam, cam thrust plate bolts pop and engines binds up.

Bent cam, alignment dowels under the head damaged or gone

On a side note... I want a transfer dump 359 rather severely.

Seems like it would be impossible to get the seal ring in to place.
What does the idler gear look like?

Had this happen once years ago when I tightened down the cam caps before the thrust bolts. The cam was never forward enough. Stupid mistake.

The 3406 doesn't have cam caps like a Detroit, you have to slide cam into the head.

Will, how does the cam turn without the gear attached?

It turns fine. Cam bore checks out. It has me a bit baffled, but partially because I can't talk the other guy into pulling the head back off, yet, at least.

Just out of curiosity, did you back the rockers off and roll it over?

Short hood Aero1. I dig it.
