Truckers, lets see your rigs!

Are there any differences in brands of shocks? I always just get monroes from kW, but would be interested in anything better. These wash boarded gravel roads are beating me to death.
 
Am curious as well. My dad just bought magnum 65 gas I believe also a Monroe shock but has no miles on them yet.
 
Well... My truck is down for the week. Therefore I'm game for listening in on this shock thing cause it's getting everything rebuilt.

On the Jake subject, the jakes are louder in my loaner with mufflers than my junk mechanical motor without them, I think lol

Breather lights, re did all light buckets from the sleeper back. Fender marker lights wired and installed.

Jakes on a mechanical Cat aren't very strong.

The Jakes on my Small Cam 855 are loud! Especially though the single 5-inch stack! I use them all the time cursing around...

Mechanical Cummins Jake are retarded loud.
This c-12 was expected to be tame. Jakes are very sharp and make more noise than I'd have imagined.

Probably not supposed to load more than one load on a truck either but things happen.

Local guy swears by Road King. I've never tried them but he's a guy that will spend months researching stuff and will admit when things don't work like he thought they would. They're spendy though.

I hear those C-12s are kinda like a 12.7 when tuned up. I've never driven one but have heard they'll run with the big boys when done up right.

Thanks, I also found some Gabriel's that are supposed to work well. Idk if I can adjustify the road kings. I pull a 38' gooseneck livestock trailer sometimes, and empty it's the worst. Hoping a better ride wouldn't only help me but maybe help keep that trailer from cracking.

I like this truck. Its not over done but Classy.

And I just love the look of a short hood truck with a little 36" bunk!

I had an 01 KW t-800 day cab with 430 c-12 and straight 5". I know exactly what you mean on the jakes...
