I also have been to the plant in china that makes alot of the parts for Paccar,Freightliner,Volvo and IHC. Phllips lighting is also made in that plant. It was a 2M square ft. facility.

so reality is they are built here, with chineese parts lol

I cant find anything, only thing I saw was talk about them selling off part of the company in 99 that made parts.
Same here, they do have a Russian DAF dealership if your ever in that area and are in the market.......:Cheer:

looks like it is now owned mostly by JP Morgan bank, and thats old english money. I know that when I worked for Kenworth in the late 80's that is what we were told. I think the stock is PCAR.

What's your thoughts on a 98 Freightliner FLD112 with a C12? Its my gpa's truck and he's retiring and wants to sell it. He spec'd it with aluminum frame rails and differentials. Any yea or nay suggestions?

I would say nay, I have had 2 O/O that have had C 12's just about break them. Just my 2 cents.

I'm not really looking for a powerhouse. More just something to keep around for a backup truck and it does have some sentimental value

plan on doing a repower with a c15 some day then it would have alot more than sentimental value..
