Turned the barrels today!

Young Guns,
I know of a JL machine, they are good with Oldsmobile gasser parts. I have had machine work done by them when I used to race BBO engines. I don't know if they are the same place, but they were good on the Olds. I guess I didn't help much, I'll try to get the address, we could compare that way.

Not the same company, JL machine/ jon link only does injector work.

Now to the original topic,
if one could turn all barrels the exact same amount, with a special tool (till one of them would hit the wide open point) would they flow the same?

In other threads that i have read, alot of people make the point that they can never be the same without the proper equipment. because the plungers and barrels are all worn out at different rates.

I was told JL machine could cut my dv's down?

yes, but he wont build you a olds....

Sweet! im going for 500cc of fuel when i have mine benched. ive been told a 160 can do 500cc, but im not shure.

A 160hp pump can do 500cc of fuel. They can do more as well.

i just read the older posts in this thread, it was last time that you told me it could do 500+cc, im going in circles in the same thread :bang

Umm say I want 450cc out of my pump, how long would it last? Does pumping more fuel wear parts out faster?

Answer in short is yes it will. Will you ever have an issue with it is hard to say. Many are around 500-550 with no issues, but that depends on a bunch of things. 550cc's and a stock charger and yeah you will find the breaking point of a few things. Keep in mind Heat and Pressure is bad

Well I wont be rockin the H1 forever. After I get a clutch that can stand up to me im going to either go with a 64/71-14 or twins with the S400 I have. I mean i kinda blew up my stocker without any extra help.

i dont know how your guys trucks are idleing smooth? because if there was an inbalance of fuel your truck would run kinda rough. but who knows

i dont know, i was expecting it to idle rough, but after it was all said and done it idles almost exactly the same??

yup. it is just a tiny bit different but not much. still idles fine and i have the idle set nice and low.

so how has your truck been running? have you noticed any more top end power?

a little. i need to get a FP gauge because i think its running low. due to that and my clutch going out, i dont get on it much. though mileage seemed to go up a little. did 19.1 on my last tank driving the same as usual.
