Lol. I didn't say they have to use the tuning features. They can use it as a very resourceful tool for tuning with their UDC...

Too funny OK seriously any easy OBDII plug in loggers that work well? I'd love to see where these numbers set things!

I just received a ultragage for my 2003. If Marco changes the eng load to TPS this will work for fine tuning. Its will show both but eng load cuts in and out. The TPS works fine.

i have a plx box. the problem with a few of the iphone apps is their export features suck ballz.

but i can easily see load, rpm, tps, etc etc

Gang,
about this thread's couple last pages....
The UDC tuning software is just a first step. We need to start somewhere, right? If we want to start out with the latest and greatest, well, we will never come to the market.

We have a saying over here: Rome wasn't build in one day... New and more features will be added over time. If you have ears to listen, well then you get what I'm wanting to say.... ;-)

Marco

Yeah..I thought Smarty fans only acted that way! Lol. ;)

I data log with my arse, eyes, brain, street, highway, trailer and dyno.

My 6 gauges seem to get the job done.

It is great to see the progress that you have done so far and will be exciting to see what is coming in the future.

My question about the OBD data log devices is, will they work with the 03-04 trucks? In my experience they will not read rail pressure VIA the OBD port....

I just looked at the PLX Kiwi

For $100 bucks doesn't look to bad if it will read rail pressure.

But there would be no way to log EGTs???

I see the light! I'll just keep playing with the SSR for now! Even a slot machine pays out once in a while maybe i'll get lucky!

If you watch it for a while you will see load is a much better representation of what the motor is doing for work. But without load, TPS will work fine.

Personally I don't think he should rename it, you want to tune for the load not the TPS.

No, PLX doesn't want to write the software to read that data point for chrysler. it's not a priority. I haven't checked in a while tho, maybe they got around to it. I think with GM you can read rail with the dmax with their software

I agree with eng load being better the problem the early 3gen's have reading it. I can read TPS so that would be better for 03-04 trucks. Unless someone knows of a OBD scanner that works with 03-04.

I have the Edge CTS it reads the rail pressure just fine from the OBDII
it is right on with my rail pressure gauge

I just got the PLX for my 05. It reads rail pressure on the android torque app. I can test it on my friends 04 and see if it works.

homewrecker, hmm ok. I'm going to look at new and current apps. It's been a long while since I've cared.

I use the autoenginuity scan tool with chrysler enhancement. not a cheap solution and you need a laptop but you get access to nearly every sensor in the truck

I just know that anyone with an 05+ truck that has a monitor that will read RP on there truck will not even offer that option on my 03 when pluged in to the OBDII port.

I have tried several bullydog outlook, edge, striker.....

yet when hooked to a star scan tool you can see RP so RP is available at the OBDII port, its just that no one wants to support it in there software.

How does it work for logging the info?

I went to there forum but its pretty "RICE" all there talking about is changing screen color and such, I could care less about custom screens and crap. I just want something that is less than $500 that will work....

Havent tried logging anything yet. Just getting familiar with it. I will give it a try this week. Its spot on with my Dipricol gauge in driving comparisons.
