I've been saving for a turbo from bullseye. Anyone have any thoughts or opinions on them? They sound like a great bunch who know their stuff and will stand behind it. I wanna know before I drop $1200

I have no experience with them personally. Did you just have the head refreshed or anything special done to it?

Have you looked into just running a box charger from BW?

Yeah I was looking at one they have for about 700. But of course when u call them they talk u into the big dollar stuff then after I get off the phone I'm like wait. What just happened. I was also thinking of the hx35/40 hybrid. Which I have heard good things. But then some ppl said that's old news and the shafts at it's limit with a wheel from a 40 and I may break it. But I just tow and play around a little I don't thing ide break it

Welllll. I have been going NUTS looking at turbos. From $249 eBay stuff to $1710 bullseye gold. All the while my truck is beached bc I popped the wh1c.
I heard about the hybrid 35/40. Also heard how the shafts break and you have to machine for the wheel to fit. Well I am not easy on my stuff. But I couldn't say no to a free 60mm wheel and housing from my buddy. I went on eBay and grabbed a $169 reman CHRA for the hx35/40. I have a perfect exhaust housing. 12cm. So I put it ll together. NO machining. And

WOW. What an upgrade. I realize some of u guys have years of experience on me. But for me going from the 56?mm to a 60mm wheel. It's impressive. And more importantly one more step closer to knowing what I want when I do decide to drop the cabbage on a real quality unit.

I wastegated it to 40
Now. Keep in mind it's in the negatives here in NEPA. I drove it to work today. 40 miles one way. I swear I did not apply the throttle more than 1/4 to 1/3 at any time. Very impressive. I was afraid to give it any more throttle or more than about 30 psi. Last nite it was one of those things. Hmmmm. If I use this used radiator hose clamp, technically I can drive this pig to work tomorrow and get a good one. Lol. So I won't be able to really get on it till I get a good t-bolt.

Well I parked the old girl. Inspection ran out and I have so much I want to do I was just daily driving it and not getting anywhere. I picked up a 91 dodge ram d350 with 12v 5 speed. Got it from second owner. He bought it in 1992. So I'll be driving this while I do my ford the way I want.

Been a while since I posted. For one reason or another the big worm has been parked since December. Was driving my first gen.

Well I stripped the ford down to the cab and frame and just started cutting.

Floors rockers cab corners a pillars b pillars new doors. Seats fenders all new wiring. Fuel tanks.

Wanted to go through everything and not have any issues.

After replacing all the panels I used dynamat and dynaliner and put the carpets back in.

Had the seats and carpets all shampooed.

Dyed all the plastic interior panels.

Tracked down every green wire or corroded butt connector.

The only splices you will find are soldered and shrink wrapped with the adhesive lined heat shrink wrap.

Took two months total. Working on it after work and on the weekends.

Been driving it all week. So nice being able to have a conversation or hear the radio while driving down the highway.

And the first gen was so gutless I forgot how nasty this truck was. I'm running the 35/40 hybrid gated to about 40.

I know. Blah blah where's the pics? I'll start uploading. There's a LOT

Thanks. I thought it would never end. One floor pan turned into a bid ordeal. If I could go back in time ide start with a cleaner truck

That's why I've been taking my time and piecing the best parts I can together for mine. Its all rust free but many different trucks lol

That's where I'm at now. It may be a multi colored wonder wagon but there's not a lick of rust left. I even went with a plastic fuel tank for the front. $170 from justgastanks.com. Perfect fit. The rear tank was new so I just painted it.

Next on the list is a reverse shackle kit for the front and intercool. But really I just wanna have fun an drive it for the summer
