Yea...X2. We have to have some type of an event there,
4 lanes of Pro Street smoke would be freakin Spectacular!


But Vegas would prob. be easiest to sell the wife on.
"Hey honey.... Guess what! We're goin to Topeka!!" ...just dosent have the same appeal.
 
Kansas is fairly central and it seemed like you guys had a good turnout last year. Why not keep it going? If you keep it at the same place more spectators that had fun last year will show with there buds and over the years it should grow bigger.
 
Vegas is NOT a family oriented place, with brothels and gambling around every corner it's a very bad choice!

Keep it central, or bring it east.....

All depends on what hotel you stay in, and the drag strip isn't on the "strip"... ive been there 3 times as a kid...

Problem is almost no one from the east showed up last year in Topeka, entire race was dominated by west coast, western part of of central, and Canadian entries.

Race in Vegas would be very cool. Can't be any farther to hotels than what you had to do in Topeka.
 
I bet that the Eastern guys and most of the Southern guys would be out if it were in Vegas. More chances of both crowds showing up if it was more centralized.

Bet it would be just the opposite if brought east.

there should be a east and a west finals period. IMO

having just one dont work.
 
i really liked kansas last year, i'd be ok if it was there again. there was lots of stuff there for the family and adults, if anyone here doesn't like where the events are, go look at nadm's posting for there events. if you live outside of ohio your traveling forever to a event. yes i'm parcial to nhrda cause i'm a racer, not a puller and there events everywere. thankyou to both organizations for trying to put on event for us. however thanks to nhrda for trying to bring us all together in one location for some good racing and a chance to meet guys and there families from each coast

Ditto, how much did you travel last year, what are your travel plans for 2011 besides not going to "sin city"?

it's the off season, i cant help myself....seriously im racing in my sleep...LOL
 
I didn't mind Kansas, but the facilities sucked. IMO It was a nice place and nice track but it was a half mile walk to anywhere and the stands were too far away from the track. I like the central location but a different track would be nice and a big no on Vegas in my book. It's not that it's to far, I have different reasons for not wanting to go there.

anywhere where you are:Cheer:we are goin to get it on this year, i might lose everytime but there might be that one time when you break i might win:evil

as for travel, still looking at the schedule and seeing if i can hit more than one event in a trip

I gotta agree there, cause i know if i were on the east coast and they were saying vegas, i would be thinkin of how that is one hell of a drive... **** i didnt even make it to topeka, and im from Nor Cal
 
Las Vegas is a very fun place and there are many guys that would like going there. Las Vegas can be exactly what you make it. Fun family get away? No problem! Gamble all night? No problem! Hit the stripper palaces? No problem! You don't have to stay down on Las Vegas Blvd. Reasonably priced rooms can be found off the main Casino areas. The Canery is a reasonable place that's not far from Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Heck you can even go over to Mike Tysons house and steal his pet Lion. LOL

Yeah we've stayed at the canery with you guys a few times. 5 mins from the track, I think it was like 59 a night, pretty nice place.

So is industrial injection going to come out and hang with us at events this year. You know I always have gibson with me lol

That wasn't pointed at you shawn, but the one you were talking about. You're racing travels put almost everyone's to shame.

I'd like to do that too, but last year, I needed to go back to the garage after every event and lick my wounds.:Cheer:
