$50,000 Purse for a Diesel Race!!

LOL

You Should'a been an attorney man!! You Don't miss chit do ya!!!

Well the "Pinks all out" comment was just something I adlibbed in there man..... Mainly just focused on the top 16 eliminations deal.....

I guess I just used that term cause it was on the mind.....So please don't read anything else into it...

The way it was explained to me is : 100 trucks....3 qualifying passes each to get their BEST pass....The top 16 quickest pass trucks will be the Top 16....

They will race for the $50K!!

Perfect. Thank you

I will be there to watch but dont think i will race. Unless i can get a truck thrown together. But i dont think im going to take a 9200 pound handshacker farm truck and make a winner out of it. lol its a 7.3 at that. Jeff, Gary, Big swole thank you to all of you for putting on something like this for us to participate in. well see ya out there

From the looks of all the new people signing up for Comp D, I think the management owe's Jeff and Swole and me a drink :Cheer: I think this race has made the economy take an upswing LOL Buck Ofama. Gary

I find #9 a bit odd,
9. All cars faster than 10.99 require cage.

Full cages for all cars faster then 10.99? NHRA doesn't require that till you go faster then 10.0.
This should explain it, Ken.
If the floor and/or firewall has been modified, then a full roll cage is required beginning at a 10.99 e.t. A full roll cage is required in any vehicle running 9.99 seconds or quicker, and any vehicle running 135 mph or faster (regardless of e.t.). The roll cage must be constructed of minimum 1 5/8 o.d.x .118 mild steel tubing, or 1 5/8 x .083 chrome moly tubing, and must conform to the following diagram:

we will buy you guys a drink when you get here. I dont know about the economy picking up but it is amazing how a extra buck can be found in time for something like this.

Gary' i think this is going to be a great race. once you get all the details ironed out. my hat goes off to you guys. we can't wait.

I just hope there are some crab legs somewhere down there. My wife is driving me crazy to go to FL for crablegs. She only weighs 120lbs, but when she gets done eating crab, it looks like a dinosaur died.

She and I will get along fine!! Just find us an All You Can Eat crab leg place and come back to pick me up in a few hours!!

Yummm!

Cages or Roll Bar's have to be had cause simply it's a NHRA track run faster then a 11.50 then your gone of the track. Unless they have there own techs doing it which isn't going to happen.

Back to the Scheid 2.6 rules theese guys have no idea what Sled Pullers are pulling off. Theese are not the off your shelf 66's that are mostly S300 based. Your average Joe isn't running 3.0 clipped to 2.6 or bigger in some cases LOL. Pretty much elimated half the field to CR truck's taking it. Going to be sled puller technology winning this. Or somones super sweet engine program.

Put this big of a purse on the line theese shops truck's and theres truck's being built for this race. Pretty much fixed to shop truck's with bigger budgets average Joe pretty much just got screwed.

CR meltdown or not will take this. Power advantage will go to the DMAX unless it's a stand alone on a Cummins CR.

Power plus low weight good to go. 10. Sec truck probaly going to take this.

Peace.

You ever tried to drag race a sled puller G14 classified turbo and keep it Lit all the down the track?? Gear ratio's, going thru the gears, and converters locking up??

I think some are in for a surprise if they try it.. Better not let it fall off the charger.. That guy with the good lite and a s300 based 66 might stomp that A$$!!

Sleding is not Drag racing!!

We'll see!!!!

So the ultimate question is....

Who has gone the fastest on a 66mm charger with no *nx*?????

:pop:

I'm interested, but haven't seen yes or no answers to these questions:

Can I run a hx82 with 2.6" of compressor showing for the first 1/8"? Yes? No?

Can I run an air to water intercooler? Yes? No?

Can I run an altered/roadster body? Yes? No?

I'll be back in a week to see if there are any firm rules nailed down yet and we can quit playing 20-questions.

Sledpullers run T/C lockups also. I mean take a look at DPC Brian Parker that charger is what basically whats going to be at this race. Just clipped. It's not hard to do. Danny can switch gears lose some weight in the truck and throw a cage and take this.

Keep that charger lit is not the hard problem. Now it's coming down to weight and setup. The tree will get a lot of people but when it comes to power the Sled Pulling guys who like to Drag race now have the advantage.

Greg is right on this one. I am going to say it's a Duramax to the top. It's no longer the Average Joes race simply by the turbo rule. Average Joes race would be like Quick 12 truck's. But Horsepower and weight says it's going to be a lot faster then Quick 12's.

a dmax probly will win.. but maybe some of the bada** sled pullers will come down and keep that from happening. All we can do is show up and see.

1. No bushing or stepped cover. Wheel must protrude 1/8" into 2.6" opening in cover. (at least 1/8" of wheel must be 2.6")

2. No

3. Yes
