We had a dyno day here in Midland yesterday. Put the ol girl on the rollers before sending her off to Lubbock to get notched. She managed 166hp/406tq :D Keep in mind, stock 12v with 300k miles. We took lowest HP of the day , so proud :) Heres a quick little vid....

You really need to get into that engine. Cant have a good looking ride and a sub par power plant.

HT3B, 90hp injectors, custom fuel plate, valve springs, push rods, 4k gsk, and an air dog are all on their way. No worries

Injectors and the fuel plate were a package deal that Im getting for free so why not :D

Headed to lubbock to pick up the ol gal and take her to her final show of the year before going under the knife :woohoo:

Toys For Tots show went great. Layla ended up taking home the gold :) Great way to end the year and we filled the box full of toys :D

Haha thanks. And yes, still using the 1500 rear end. So far, so good. No burnouts and stupid crap like that, which, anybody that knows me, thats hard lol. Theres many rear end options out there but the main thing is, whatever I do, Im not losing my rims :D

Not sure how yours has held up for this long... mine grenaded last week...

Your truck is no longer stock according to your sig...

After some research the ol Chrysler 9.25 will most likely stay on the truck, actually be upgraded to a newer model with disk brakes and possibly rebuilt with new everything. I think it'll hold up just fine from what I've been reading about what people are doing with the factory set ups and power adders.:rockwoot:

If you do decide to chop the roof two things from my experience:

DO NOT BEND THE PILLARS TO MATCH!!! please section the roof and add the material to make it longer. Yes it is much more involved but everything lines up so much better and works so much better. It is not like that Dodge cab/roof is rare if you mess it up, throw it out go to the jy and grab another roof.

Do at least a 3" chop if not 4"+, I helped do an F150 a few years back and he didn't want to go very aggressive and only did it 2". Now for all the time and effort, and money to do a good chop, it is barely noticeable, and he kicks himself every time he looks at the truck.

It is not that hard of a process, but take your time, plan it out, measure at least twice cut once. Go SLOW on tacking, nice well spaced tacks, minimize warping, you will thank yourself later when it comes time to finish it with body filler.

The actual chop and tack only takes about a weekend, the finishing is where the hours are put in.

Chopped roof, and suicide doors are my two favorite custom looks.

Agreed. I don't think you could get the A-pillars to ever look right if you were to try and re angle them

No... not exactly... but it was way too quick to give up... first it started slipping the locker and then doing a straight 3rd gear flat out run.... it grenaded...

i welded up the diff on it for now, the ring and pinion are 100% fine... it's the diff gears that are the weak link...

This is good information.

How many miles on yours and was it bone stock?

Would you think putting an eaton in it could replace some of the weak points?

she doesnt want to lose the 5 lug

we've got another 9.25 with disks to rebuild and put in when its time to bag
