Black Ice is getting dialed in for 2009!

Badger and Fantasy have added the diesels to their gas truck pulling organizations. So the rules have been in there for years that the gas trucks could not run duals. So we and I think Badger also, have to live with abiding by some gas truck rules.

So I ask you all this question, Have any of you ever seen a gas pulling truck with duals? I mean a dually truck does come with the option of a gas motor.

The reason I didn't have an issue with Wes is he was not complaining about having to pull exhibition and then bragging in the next sentence that he beat "their best truck" by 7 feet. Wes just posted the results. I find it even better that Garrett never mentioned, I got beat for first place by almost 40 feet.

I see , I know all to well what it is like dealing with gassers and tractor guys

I agree with you jeremy not trying to start a fight but Wes just wanted to run and didnt care or complained.

there was something brought up i guess at the fall meeting that if your going to run duals they wanted fenders to cover the wheels but it wasnt in the rule book. And to me running the spacers like some do just seems unsafe. Yea never seen one break but theres that what if. Also if a truck runs duals they should teether the outer rim to the inner so just in cause it would break that tire wouldnt go flying and hurt someone thats my thoughts on duals and has to run dually fenders

Congrats to a good event Saturday. Great weather and fun crowd. Did BTPA have an event elsewhere on Saturday?

it was a good time! just wish the truck didn't hop so much. most of the BTPA was out in deerfield for a pull

Great looking hook Garrett. If your truck runs that good now its gotta really run with the new charger on it.

Chris

What a dumb rule.... NADM has no problems with duals. I guess that is the difference between brush pulls and national events.

Wow, thats a bold statement. What truck do you pull and what club do you pull with?

I personnaly dont like the rule but hey every organization has there own little rule no one likes! But looks like you had a good hook garret! I heard that you might be coming to missouri to hook with us. Any truth to that? If it helps we allow dual wheels LOL

Nice hook on Saturday night, I had fun in the pits taking a gander at ur trucks, wish I could have chatted with ya and suck up some of that diesel knowledge but I was too shy, haha.

Your club made its decision and I made mine. No big deal.

The discussion in the pits regarding duals was over and done in the pits, I don't see any reason to keep discussing it on here. *bdh*
I didn't come on here *****ing because I couldn't run them, yet you guys wanted to discuss it more.

Either way, we had a great time this weekend.

Well thats too bad, glad you had a good time though!

Looked like it hooked good, keep up trying to get it set up perfect.

Thanks! I got some new ideas to try with my setup on Saturday.
We'll see how they work out, they sound promising!

Where you pulling at? Now that I have my new job, I want to make some pulls this year and try to get the 95 setup for pulling in Workstock.

my understanding is to GENERAL rules is ALL trucks have to follow them thats why there GENERAL rules. As to last year that was last year. Every one in the diesel class came over by yours and wes truck and had a meeting about it and said no or take them off. And to you running duals last year at the 2 pulls you did you got beat but 20ft or so at one and not sure about the other did you come on here and say "truck ran good but got 4th or whatever and got 20ft or so put on me" nope you didnt but you came on here friday and said you put 7 feet on are top truck now thats childish.

Whatever Jeff, just stay out of my threads, I don't care to hear your input. Thanks and have a nice day.

no dual wheel is gay.... but i dont think Garrett meant it the way it sounded, hell 7ft is not much, then Wes put it on Garrett good too then!

Garrett, I hope you make it back to more of our pulls. Your truck is running good this year and we are happy to have you and Wesly come and run with us. The whole dual wheel rule was not as clear as it should have been, I agree. Bring your truck set up with single rear tires and join us. Best of luck with the rest of your pulls this year. :Cheer:

Honestly when I read what Garrett wrote. I took it as a comparison to the winner in the Badger pull is all. Meaning he was happy with the truck and could have won the Badger hook if he wasnt in exhibition. I dont know who got all defensive but I think maybe you should chill out. Maybe I'm wrong but thats what I got from it after reading it. Glad to see your truck running well Garrett.
