Black Ice is getting dialed in for 2009!

Garrett, I hope you make it back to more of our pulls. Your truck is running good this year and we are happy to have you and Wesly come and run with us. The whole dual wheel rule was not as clear as it should have been, I agree. Bring your truck set up with single rear tires and join us. Best of luck with the rest of your pulls this year. :Cheer:

Well said WI Huck.

Honestly when I read what Garrett wrote. I took it as a comparison to the winner in the Badger pull is all. Meaning he was happy with the truck and could have won the Badger hook if he wasnt in exhibition. I dont know who got all defensive but I think maybe you should chill out. Maybe I'm wrong but thats what I got from it after reading it. Glad to see your truck running well Garrett.

But would he have won without the added traction that the dual wheels gave him?

Great job Garrett! Not many guys at your age have the knowledge or ambition to do as well as you do! You not only maintain a very successful business but you also maintain 2 very strong pulling trucks and a fleet of daily drivers. Ive been to your shop and home and Im very proud to say I know you. You are one of the most honest sincere guys I know and anyone that wants to come on here and try to discredit you is just plain jealous of your accomplishments.

i feel he would have did better without the dual wheels prime example last week at perry county ohio pretty much identical engines in the two top trucks the regular cab with single rear wheels won because he spun the tires faster where the extended cab dually was 10' behind and he powered out, if your gonna run dual rear wheels you better have the power to spin thru them or the singles will blow by ya.

Who knows. I didnt read it as a complaint towards them is what I am saying. Your missing the point. I guess until they get normal rules like the rest of the nation we will never know.

Wow, thats a bold statement. What truck do you pull and what club do you pull with?

:hehe::poke: Thats it Glenn you just got called out, your gonna have to get out and actually have to try to pull on of those stock pavement pounders you have.:kick:

I'm not scared, I will come out and play when I get a truck together....:bang

As to the brush pull comment....The way Garrett's situation was described to me was....it was OK to run duals until he started to run well, then it became a "safety issue". This seems like something you run into at a local brush pull not what you would expect from a bigger organization.

So what about a 3500 factory dually? They make those straight from Dodge. You guys turn down a hook fee from them then?

a few pulls around here make them boys pull 2 rear tires off... I think Full pull productions doesn't allow dual rear wheels either...

agreed!! theres always someone who is jealous of someone else who is accomplishing goals and such..

Wow, haven't heard of that one. This truck pulling right? A 3500 is a truck last I checked. :bang

So is a F450 or F650 but they are not allowed too.

I will agree that I think the rule is dumb but rules are rules. I think a better rule would have been: No dual wheels without dually box/bedsides.

That is a good way to word it.
