Black Ice is getting dialed in for 2009!

I personally think that you should have a dually bed if you want to run dualls, and a single wheel bed if you want to run singles. it is kinda like if you want to win you better buy a truck with a cummins not a powerstroke LOL

So what about a 3500 factory dually? They make those straight from Dodge. You guys turn down a hook fee from them then?

i can understand letting a STOCK dually run cause it came from the factory that way bolting on another set of tires to a single wheel shouldnt be allowed thats my view on it

Whatever Jeff, just stay out of my threads, I don't care to hear your input. Thanks and have a nice day.

free world garrett dont like my input dont read it. I was stating what the rules are cause last i checked i was a tech offical for BTPA. So thanks and have a nice day!!!

Jeff every bit of input you put into any of Garretts threads come with a sorts of attitude though. Go back in prior posts and look at them from another persons point of view. There is a reason there are hard feelings between you and him. Im not standing up for Garrett because I dont know the whole situation between you boys but I know what Ive read in the past. Recall me getting involved once over Zeb? Youve had several opportunities to come up to Garrett at alot of pulls and shake his hand and congratulate him for a job well done no matter what place he made but you havent made any initiative to do so. I will tell you this...Garrett has never had ANY negative comments about you or your buddies to me and even once told me he thought you did pretty damn good. Life is short guys!

I see garrett makes sure to put he beat the top truck by seven feet, but I guess he isn't used to saying that when he is refering to btpa sice he would always travel out of state because his truck never was much competion for the top trucks in badger. He would only pull the brush pulls around here to make sure he could brag on how well he does. I heard that the track got better towards the end, I wasn't there that's just what I was told so Garrett you should make more badger hooks to see how you run compared to the top trucks more often to see how you really stack up to them.

He is supposed to make it to more BTPA pulls to prove himself? Why dont you go attend some of his pulls. BTW what truck do you pull with? His reasons for pulling more out of state is for advertising dollars spent. Kinda like advertising in your local paper when everyone already knows you and where you are located. Doesnt make much sense but heck what do I know??

I attend the majority of the badger pulls, I have atwin turbo dmax and pull on occasion for fun. I made my statement because I know almost all of the pullers in btpa and have seen in person his truck run against them and hasn't been any competion to the good running trucks in btpa He may have it running good know but I heard about a text that went out that said basically btpa didn't have any competion for him so I lost total respect for him and the text came from a family member of garrett.

All of this drama sure wants to make me go hook with badger!

You heard about a text??? Hmm.. Not from anyone in my family that I associate with. Talk about 2nd or 3rd hand info.

I never said Badger had no competition for me. I generally go to National pulls, a lot of times they are the same time as BTPA hooks.. I can't be in two places at once.

I do hit brush pulls, but lots of times I am invited to them to put on a show..

But hey, I don't have to explain why I schedule the way I do.
The no Competition text never happened because of me, because I never said it.

I respect the members in Badger and enjoy competing with them, I never said anything to belittle them or their trucks.

I'm done here. If anyone has a problem, call me or come to a hook and discuss it with me there.

Garrett, let me know what your schedule is. I would like to discuss stuff face to face, as I think I know where some of this stuff stems from. I'm not taking sides by any means, nor am I trying to start anything with anyone. Obviously there was/still is some bad blood here, would like to put it in the past. You have a great business, would like to do business there if possible, although another area place does well by me at the same time.

As I did with you Jeff, face to face, shook your hand, told you you had a nice running truck, and told you you took the ballbusting with great stride. Take it for what it's worth.

I'm looking to pull somewhat competitively around here, and will most likely be running into most, if not all, of the Badger pullers. It's a sport, it's all in fun. The razzing is part of the deal. Rules be damned, egos put by the wayside, we're all here for the same reason, and that's to have fun.

whoa! this thread went sour fast! i dont know garrett, never talked with him (yet, i need to soon!) but it was a good hook. I understand what you were trying to say. Internet statements only have emotion as how the reader wants to read it, not the way the statment was intended to be read. good luck with the national pulls, you should hear from me as soon as i get my head back and can start rollin on this little truck.

I've met garret a few times now and he was absolutly one of the nicest guys to talk to. Even came over and lend us a hand on Tyrel's orange truck in Owensville last year and a stand up guy. From reading this thread almost looks like you all enforced the dually rear wheel rule to exclude the top 2 trucks. We are hooking Diesel's not gas trucks go back and redo the rules! How many gas trucks are duallies??

The rule was changed this last winter to eliminate duals not everyone likes it. Including me but its the rule the club decided on. I understand were garret is coming from that he pulled last year with the duals They did not change it because of him because last year he did not win with btpa. I think btpa wants to be as fair as possible. It was just a safety thing with people making there own spacers.

He is a good time!! I look forward to hanging out again with you at some hooks this year Garrett. But lets map out a path to a different convenient store than the one we got stuck at down town Indy last year!! Also lets refrain from filling my pullin truck up with cherries!!:hehe: My truck this year cost me a little more money than my 2.6 truck last year.

His truck was never a contender so it would have nothing to do with his truck they did it for safety. His truck may have ran well this weekend and may have made some good changes over the winter but he has never been at the top at any badger pull before, that is why I think he had to point out the 7ft remark.

Well i dont mean to make it seem that i have an attitude but can see where you think there is. Just the beating the top truck part wasnt right and did think that was right for him to say. I would have shook his hand or talked to him but after the meeting in the pits just wouldnt of been good thing so i let it be. I will say garrett thats the strongest i really have ever heard your truck run besides getting under the turbo.

We could go all day about the duals and my input is should have fenders and also i know truck has never broke a spacer but i think there should be something tied to the inner tire to keep the tire from running away if it would break.
