Can we talk about triples?

Jim- with that BB 66 and a pair of BB 62's it would make a wicked ass street truck.

Can somebody dig up a formula for compounding flow rates?

Or a shop to call and get it?

call Pius at Bell Turbo in Corvallis, Oregon. he has a few triple setups out there
and is very helpful

Are you wanting the performance specs of two compressors in a parallel system?

I really hate you right now LOL
The answer is in the second link on page 64 of that book. It looks like a decent equation and the actual intake piping is done further down, pg ~72. I have an outside engineering group do it for me at work when we retrofit a air knife blower system in the mill. It's a lot of math that goes over my head.

I saw about 20 sets of triples last night. Even touched a few. There was some discussion on 11 vane turbine wheels vs. 13 vane wheels which was quite interesting.

So let map out a street set for 800 hp worth of air, it would be for the cool effect mostly.

1.What manifold charger
2.What (2) Atmosphere chargers

Jim

3 HX82's will provide enough for at least 800hp. I reckon the setups I saw last night had at least that much.

My twisted thinking is having a slightly higher stall converter, a turbo that spools real quick and some push for the big end with about 700 hp worth of fuel, should be a tire killer, over 700 hp one the street gets to the non fun stage depending on the truck.

Jim

Im gonna have to talk to the man on how to size these things. Didnt get a chance too tonight, I did hear about the pull though.

From what Im thinking you can effectivly have 3 turbo's power ranges at once.

Or somethink like that.

dont no if this will help u but a while back there was a red stroker in either the diesel tech or diesel power that was running triples *bdh*

here you go Roachie, you can get two hy35's to fit with a large primary under them

So is it running yet? What about oil delivery and drain, drain would be no big deal but I worry about delivery, needs one more filtered supply in my eyes.

What manifold charger are you running those into? Any more pics?

Jim

From what I understand the HY's are the manifold chargers, so its the opposite of what we are getting at.

Im wondering about the oil supply myself. IIRC, the CR oil filter housing has 3 outlets. Not sure what they done on that truck though.

Mine Should be running in few weeks, twin 42mm garrett' and a 91 mm Garrett to use to compound on them.
