Getting my 180 benched

Hey Mike,

Are yu going to have that thing running by this summer? Just wondering if you're going to make it to NHRDA Midwest Nationals in Brainerd, MN?

I'm never certain which truck it is Mike is talking about. LMAO

Usually its the ppe. The dually doesn't get talked about a whole lot. Not having it together is depressing.

If you would stop wasting money on the Purple Panty Droppa, you might be able to get something done on the "race" truck.

Lol, its so hard when that's the one I drive everywhere, and there's no good tracks up here so im not pressured. All I need is converter, manifold, charger, and studs.

I don't know how much is too much, but I don't feel safe going over 50ish. Im just paranoid.

Might go with compounds someday, 63 over something BIG. Money is the factor there.

Whynot use the 67 in twins? Spool not that great?

It spools great, for a good sized single. Assuming putting it in a twin setup would hurt spool 200rpm, it wouldn't come fully alive until 2k. That would pretty much kill using it as a tow rig. And id have to run a monster primary to make use of it lol $$$$$$$$$ I really need a sponsor LOL

Want a S-480 with an ATS Manifold?

I think the 80 would be too small a primary for such a high flowing secondary. Thanks though. If I were to use this as a top charger, id want a 90+ on the bottom. And probably try to get a tighter than .91 housing for the 67.

Just went 300 miles, got about 50 miles more to a half tank than usual, and im running 50/50 wmo, and that's with no lock up most of the way. I can only get her to lock up if I give it a hair more throttle (but then it locks and starts speeding up), or I hit a hill and need more throttle. Its cruising @70mph with literally a couple mm of pedal travel, its real hard to keep it at a steady speed.

Mike do you have a lockup switch? Then you could just lock the TC and it wouldn't lock and unlock all the time. Just and idea.

Yes I do. But the switch broke and I haven't had time to take the door panel off to replace it. Hopefully this week before opening track day.

So far I'm getting 16 miles per gallon. I think some of it has to do with tuning my star wheel. I still have the more tuning to do to it though. This is also with random moments of fun throughout the trip, and grossing about 10k.

So not much of a problem, but annoying.

If I have my AFC arm set for minimal smoke, it takes 5 seconds of cranking before she fires. If I bump it forward some, she starts fine, but pre boost smoke is absolutely ridiculous.

Is there anything that can be done about it? Or is it just one of the things that comes with a turned up pump?
