In light of the fact that most here are able to fabricate a header similar to JSP's I say your right no need.

But for those fabricationaly challenged few, it sometimes helps removing that tower.

@JCz-Racing a diesel truck isn't that practical, racing almost the heaviest combo of a diesel truck is even less practical. I think that's why Drake quit racing his, too many parts breaking.
