Let's talk S465

That could be said for any application. It's kinda crazy to change a set up when you can change the housing.

Where can this cummins elbow be purchased? Need something for the s468.

from cummins....

or call scheid, thats where i bought one before i relized it was a cummins part that i could get locally.

You are putting the horse before the cart Kevin. Chris was saying that all of these criteria determine how well a perticular housing will work on a specific engine. So if you do not already have said turbo on the truck, knowing all of these variables would make it easier to say ''yes'' or "no".

Any pics of an S400 on a common rail as a single? Intake setup, need to relocate battery?

you dont need to relocate the battery even with a big housing from what ive seen. the intake setup is a PITA there is no room like Jesse's pic shows

Everybody who's posted the part #'s for the elbow and clamp has yet to mention that the elbow doesn't come with the o-ring needed for complete seal.:bang:poke:

Talk to zstroken, I got mine from him. Comes with o-ring, v-band clamp, and elbow. I had to shorten my stock pipe that routes to the intake side of the intercooler, not sure if all will have to do that.

Oh I have the part # I was just to lazy to walk out to my truck in freezing temps last night. Here are the two possibly Cummins part #'s

3682177 guy said that one was $1 and change.
3066211 guy said this one was $7 and change....said it was probably more durable to heat?

Gonna pick one of those up and the clamp from Cummins today.:rockwoot:

Glad this threads still going. Hopefully one day I'll need it. I got a silver bullet for... well, lets just say a good price. S465 is still in my future.

I'd like to make a suggestion to all of you. GET A CAM! I'm running my SB on stock fuel and awsome programming. A cam is the key to a big single. I went to the Priddy, Texas pull this past weekend. 3,800rpm all the way down the track. 4Low on 4:10's and 32" tires. Smoking like an old 12V. I have a video to prove it. And I know a S465 is going to need more air than my SB. And it's driveable with the programming turned down to almost stock.

Anybody know where I can get a 6" to 4" silicone hose reducer so I can run my air filter on the street?
