Let's talk S465

what would be a streetable s465 numbers for cr truck as in streetable 2000rpm starting to light
65/ / ??

Keep it going. Can some CR guy's post up their turbine setups and how they like them on the street and recomendations for other CR guys on what sizes to get.

No offense to BDP but his truck is a beast with the best of the best of everything and I don't think most of us have engines that'll do what his does.

thats what i am tring i think i might be going to go with a .90ar or 1.10

i am working getting info on a jd s465

I'd say for most a .90 housing is probably the ticket. I don't know for certain as I havn't pulled the trigger on one yet, but on a cr where you are limited in rpm's and most are running stock gearing, a 1.0 or 1.10 housing will be harder to light, and fall of quicker, but everyone's setup is unique.

$75-80 in parts to build an Elbow!

2100 Spool-up, what would you consider a Silver Bullet to be, I call it 1800!

Jim

i've been driving mine on the street with a 6spd tranny and its easily drivable. not sure with an auto. i would say 2100 is about right, the other day i was cruising through town in 4th at about 2200rpms and had 10psi, from there i could snap the throttle and it would rip with no lag.

well did you put this on yet??

Well its on but I didnt get much testing done tonight its raining out but it seems to spool hard right at 2k with about 10 psi at 1800. My truck is an 04.5 2wd auto this is the first auto Ive had so going from stock turbo to this is a huge difference lag wise.

Here is one but not very good I still need to make the intake its gona be hard to do becuase the long snout on the turbo is close to the oil filter.

why dont you go with a 2nd gen manifold that would move the turbo

TJ, what are you using for an elbow on yours?

Rick

is a 1.10 exhaust housing on a s465 too big for a automatic duramax?

A number of things fit in this equation. Tire size, Gear ratio, Stall speed, Engine and trans tuning, Manifold, up pipe's and pedestal used, Turbine wheel size, Cam selection, Head work......and so on
