New Borg Warner S300sxe Turbos

An update from my 66sxe-69sxe swap in the secondary.

After a few weeks of running the 69 I've gotten a better feel for comparison.

Overall boost is down slightly 3 psi ish, but egts are actually lower with the 69 than the 66.

Bottom end response still is greater, but now that I'm running out of heat and stuggle to get to 1100* at wot(R1 injectors) I can't push the turbos any harder as rpms climb.

So here comes the next step. Got some 135% over injectors waiting to go in and will get new tuning from ATP on this thing.

Also with the 66 I would get a so so lug of smoke from a dig, but the 69 barely will give a small puff and cleans 100% at wot.

Are they also trying to fool their customers with this tried and forgotten technology ?

Can you expound on that please? Is that the .83 gated off the one side? That housing has been around for a while I thought.

I'm very seriously considering the 369 in place of my compounds. It sounds like a good candidate, it would just be a matter of sorting out what turbine housing to run. The .80 t3 sounds like a great option. Running an internal gate isn't real important to me as I'd like to go external at some point anyhow. Hx 40 would be a must, this 3/4 marmon thing is a pita.

Wonder if the .83 a/r turbine housing could be made to work with the new 69??

Yes it can be cut. There were some vendors on CF talking about it one of the SXE threads. I have been considering that route but don't like gating off only one side.

So which s300sxe and exhaust housing would you guys recommend for a vp44 truck with a little bigger injectors and a txt box?

Carl (tublver) if I remember correctly likes his 64.5 he has as a secondary, and based off the flow maps they're better than the old 366's. He could better recommend an exhaust size though.

I just installed a 64.5/68/.83 t4 non gated on a steed speed with a 44mm e gate and so far I am very please with it over my 62/68 fmw with the same turbine housing

this is my 363 sxe, I welded an elbow and v band on it to use in my twin kit. It has a t3 .80 73mm turbine from agp turbo. Just wondering if anyone's tried this exhaust housing with twins or other wise. I plan on installing a waste gate in the near future but for now I'm going to run it without. The other turbo is an s480 and I'm running 100% overs with no nitrous.

Quick question for you: What color is your engine block? It looks awesome with the black valve cover.:Cheer:

Long vs short.. who has a part number please.
