my sister got her 2004 tdi first back this past spring (white one), i got mine wednesday (far right) and her husband got the middle one today. all are tdis. hers a auto tho and ours a manual.

The newer TDIs are pretty quick, I was surprised at the 2010 when the dealer gave one to my ex as a loaner.

Yes 16 second car isn't quick, but the 40 miles per gallon make up for the lower smiles per mile. My wife looked at them a few months back. They are proud of a new one. The idea of her getting a small car got crushed a few weeks ago when some a$$hat in a civic hit her head on and totaled her xterra. I lost my DD 2nd gen out of the deal but of well. One more year and we will have no car notes.
