ODRA/NADM Texas Diesel Roundup October 9th Crandall, TX

I had a great time in Texas, a well organized event in my eyes. No event ever goes as planned it seems.

I am glad I went and love to support NADM and all there events!

Anyone get a video of my pull and fire?
 
What were the results. I know how I did pulling but not sure about anyone else that pulled, and I have no clue what the results for the drag part was.

had a good time this weekend....the NADM did the best with what they had under the circumstances.....got to see alot of fammiliar faces and met alot of new ones....even though im planning to move to WI im still looking foward to coming to next years event.

What the hell are you moving to WI..... have yall messed with you truck yet. how bad is it?? My wife thought your truck was kick ass. she is still calling it her truck :hehe:

not yet...somethings off in the inejction pump i suspect along with the transfer case finally letting go...LOL....it went back with garrett and lerae.

Yes I was in panic mode! the spinny wheel on the 5 point feel off and I couldn't get out! Thanks to my favorite buddy to put my fire out for me!

Had a great time. Thank to all of the hard working NADM folks. I hope to see them in Texas next year.

The effort of the NADM is noble....The results are not, Imagine if i had brought my sponsors & their marketing company to this race... I would be hung on the court house lawn & called a thief!!!...No excuse...Perhaps the NADM should spread the money out to the racers a little bit so it will be possible for guys to build cool stuff to bring to the races so the sport will grow. They should be helping participants "get sponsors"" & "get money" to get to the races so they will have a show, Not competing with them for sponsors money!! Gene this "National Event" secures my decision to shift my "program":hehe: to a direction that will be beneficial to me & the people involved with car. Im not turning my back on my diesel brothers....They are my family & i have been into diesels since the 1980`s, ....I wasnt born rich & i cant do this out of pocket & no one is ever going to attract outside money with an event like this, unless you lie to them....You & Ron are nice folks no doubt, but business is business. If you have a rinky dink event thats fine...It happens, but do not mis- represent your numbers to potential sponsors so you can get your check in the mail. I want to see the diesel culture do good.....I have a vested interest in it...& you have yourself a nice day!!!

Have we ever called this a national event?

Doesn't matter, it was the largest Diesel event in the state 2010,and probably the 5th largest in the country, but whats important, is that we are building an event that most people want to be there.

As far as spreading the money out to the racers and pullers, we do just that, better than any other Diesel event promoter.

Maybe you should help promote the sport a little better and give some of your customers cash back in contingency instead of building a play toy??

Try not to confuse promoting your own business and promoting the sport John.

Such negativity on this event......Texans, if you dont want this event back, let us know, chime in, we'll schedule one In Missouri.
 
NO NO, not that i was happy with the things that played out, but i also under stand that it was out of yalls hands.... as for paying out.......... David was the winner of ET and i know he walked out of there with a very nice check..... i would be happy with that pay out. not sure how the pay out was in the other classes or in sled pulling but that one was very good. I would love to have yall back in Texas we need more events down here.....
 
I wish I would have made it. I had other things come up, oh well, my loss. I would have been a great spectator! I went out last year and was disappointed, at least this year there was a pulling competition, that shows improvement. Maybe next year will improve yet again. That's positive thinking right there! Keep trying guys, it's going to get better and organization is only as good as the folks at the ground level and a track that is closing down is just not going to have the best (or most reliable) crew I guess.
 
i was pleased with my payout in quick diesel. i'd like to see an event like this come to san antonio sometime. that drive up 35 was miserable on friday.
