Im thinking about changing out my 215 pump for a 160...

im still wondering all the time what it takes to make a 160 that fast... experienced pump tuning, and/or BIG injectors? what kinda?

what does tuning a pump cost like "garmonizing it" or at brad ponci... ?

my best time is 14.25 at 91.2mph, 1.93 60f.

4x4, 4.10 gears
stock turbo
stock injectors

16.5 timing, Goerends trans, 25% methanol, 100 plate, governor washer mod
 
I think the 11.23@124 I ran on #2 and water with a 160 pump made everyone go to sleep...lol
 
I'm building mine up over the winter. Best pass to date is 15.4 with .057 reaction at 86mph. I need more timing.
 
My 215 pump felt like filling my crancase with diesel, 160 pump on #2 only.

yeah i am also going to be building up my truck over the winter, i dunno if its a 160 pump ill have to look, but its a 12mm fom II my best time is 15.4 but it gets way to hot so thats only at like 3/4 throttle at most
 
Alright... I Squeezed mine for all it was worth today, final round at the NHRDA event in Gainesville... fighting a 10mph headwind, here are the results:

R/T - crap
60' - 1.599
330- 4.616
1/8- 7.208
mph- 94.20
1000-9.472
1/4 - 11.403
mph- 116.00

Two wheel drive, single turbo, #2 only, & I hauled my 30' 5th wheel travel trailer to & from the event. To say that I'm happy with that out of my daily driver is an understatement!
But It's still not quite enough to best Bponci's 11.3xx pass of a few weeks ago. Looks like he's king of the fuel only 160's..................... for now:evil

Congrats bud!! Great time slip. I wish our tracks are open year around. our local track is closed until april.
 
Here are the 2 best time slips i have from Sac raceway. I still have a few more things to do before next race season.;)

What are you guys with the 2wd duallies running for tires? Running 4 tire or what?


I hope to be picking up my old mans 95 2wd 3500 dually and would like to put two big fat slicks under the dually fenders, but don't know how to go about it.


Truck has dyno'd 236 rwhp and 570ish rwtq, and is a blast to drive like it is... but look forward to making more power.
