PPE HOT will be my next atempt to reach

Rob Has All the mechanical mods(Air, FP,IP) to break 1000hp. 04.5-07 trucks are lacking In the programing department. He has tried every possible combination with the Smarty/DrP. I'm interested in the findings. I'm also curius as to when Marco will have a solution for the 600 series trucks

ECM was reflashed today. Next week sometime I will dyno the PPE HOT. I will load the PPE this weekend and street test prior to any dynoing.

Good luck, keep us posted...interested also. Have you ran any other programmers with this setup; Bullydog or anything?

I tried both on my drag truck, first the smarty then the PPE which was supposed to have the 4000 rpm fueling. The smarty made a tad more power than the PPE but the PPE did not fuel past stock levels. I stayed with the Smarty. This was on my 03 cr motor. Good luck Rob, I hope you make the 1000 hp mark.

Good luck on the fuel only 1K quest, Rob! Also, let us know how the rattle is affected by the reflash! I'm 99% positive that's not the answer, but it would be good to hear your experience with it. My rattle almost completely goes away when I run higher SW tunes on the Smarty. It rattles like crazy when I go down to SW2...weird. I sent a PM to Bob Wagner to see what is different with the fueling down low on the SW2 compared to the SW8, but I haven't heard back from him.

Videos of the dyno run would be awesome, too!

Rob and I had a nice conversation today. All is good and we are all on the same page.

Rob knows where we are headed and I respect Rob's quest for the 1k level.

In all due respect (kick my ass) I know who's tuning will get Rob there.

Thanks

Reflash went smoothly. My ECM had the latest Chysler software so the exercise was to wipe it clean top to bottom.
No change it how it runs. Rattle is as strong as ever, pressure rattle no doubt about it.

I'm eager as heck to give this HOT tune a run. Perhaps it might like my truck more than others who knows...
Many have said the Smarty is the ticket, I cannot complain about the Smarty one bit. I'm happy to run the Smarty, it has carried the ball for myself and many others for years. I have no doubt that Smarty will raise the bar...

Sh*t I have a TST, EDGE HOT, DR.P, MP8 and a Smarty...why not try another!

Had my truck reflashed yesterday as well... No change..

Now due my other issue, pulling my injectors to be tested and may pull the head also to see if I have a HG issue or damage...

Will load the PPE tonight. If all goes well on the street I will be dynoing on Friday morning.

More fuel doesn't necessarily mean the answer.

LOL... it worked for me. Also Marco's tweaking. Just injectors and pumps was a huge difference in my truck. When i went from Flux 5s to Flux 7.5s, we picked up a lot of power. After that, i was having some air problems (not enough out of the big one and too much out of the small one).

PPE is loaded and functioning. Big thanks to Wally at FTE diesel for hooking me up. Wally sent me a tuner at no initial fee to my door. I will test and decide if I want to purchase.

Loaded up the highest level and let it eat on the street. First thing I noticed was how much smoother the power came on in my truck--with my set-up. Lit the turbo's sooner by 300rpm.
The tune has lite timing so less rattle than what I was used to.
All out power is good, past 3300rpm the pull is reduced. In 6th I pulled as far as I could until I got scared...38" mudders. I was at 3300 when I let out and it was pulling, but not as stong as the lower rpm.
Smoke was clear in the upper rpm band. Boost numbers 75/35, egts 1300f, rail pressure 24k no pressure.
Notice it makes my truck idle near 800, seems a little higher than before.

In a nut shell, this tune suits my trucks build very well. Street manners are awesome.

Of course in a comparison to Smarty and all out power my ass tells me the Smarty is stonger.

Gonna dyno Friday most likely PPE and the Smarty

Rob

Rob, does your truck lope with the PPE installed? I found that to be the coolest part about that tuner. Made my truck sound like a gasser with a big cam in it.. lol

So if your turbo's light earlier, I bet that's due to the low timing right? However, not enough timing at the upper rpm. I've noticed when I run timing 3 my single lights a little faster, but falls off earlier. Be nice to get a timing setting of 2.5. a combo of the two...;-)

Marco/Bob. Not sure if you thought of this or there's a programmatic reason for not, but could you folks take the "adjust-ability" one step further. In blocks of 500rpm or so, allow us to set timing/pressure/duration based on throttle throttle input? Need less fuel and timing under 2000rpm, But need more way above that ;-) kinda thing.

Glad it worked out for ya...as said before, just going bigger aint better...been there done that.
