LOL... it worked for me. Also Marco's tweaking. Just injectors and pumps was a huge difference in my truck. When i went from Flux 5s to Flux 7.5s, we picked up a lot of power. After that, i was having some air problems (not enough out of the big one and too much out of the small one).
It is about the timing curve. It amazes me you Dodge guys are able to what you do. You are flying so blind it is not funny. No idea what timing and fueling where. I guess having EFILive and a Dmax spoils me.So if your turbo's light earlier, I bet that's due to the low timing right? However, not enough timing at the upper rpm. I've noticed when I run timing 3 my single lights a little faster, but falls off earlier. Be nice to get a timing setting of 2.5. a combo of the two...;-)
Marco/Bob. Not sure if you thought of this or there's a programmatic reason for not, but could you folks take the "adjust-ability" one step further. In blocks of 500rpm or so, allow us to set timing/pressure/duration based on throttle throttle input? Need less fuel and timing under 2000rpm, But need more way above that ;-) kinda thing.
that crank is making me cranky... LOL we are ready to finish the project

What I have noticed is how different injectors act. Some are far more freindly to timing than others. I like the way the injectors that are more finicky to timing run. They seem to atomize better that is what makes them finicky IMHO.
I will use my truck as an example on the how the timing a can effect turbo spool up. 4* less of timing made all most 500rpms difference in the spooling of my charger. You need a curve that starts low enough to make some heat but not to much. Same with fuel. To much hurts as much as to little. Then once the boost starts to climb you can ramp in the fuel and timing, but again you need to have a good balance of both thru the whole band. Man does EFILive rock.:rockwoot:
Woonder how B4.3 compares
LOL @ Bob. Believe me, I want to see that crank back in my shop also. As soon as it's done, it'll be sweet though. I got my big turbo back... it's just sitting on the bench..... it looks sad just sitting there. That big s.o.b. is going to be sooo much faster, as it wasn't already. :evil
This whole breaking cranks thing has been such a bummer though. It really makes you not want to build another crazy motor and watch the stock parts blow apart. At least we won't have the TST issues again. Look, we lost 200 hp.... oh never mind, it came right back in a split second.
The PPE hot is cool,, but trust me, it isnt as cool as the smarty, on my truck it was definately better with the smarty. 3 tenths worth better. The only thing I miss about the PPE is the idle, that was so cool..
Now on my chevy, I wish I had a ppe on there
