sdx comp delivery valve vs?

Any pictures of the actual.. .024s?

Just uploaded... will post some photos after this message.

I can see that they don't have flutes, very obvious. Other than that I didn't have a clue what those were. I'm wondering if they ever made it to a performance application. They sound alright at 90cc over 191's

I don't believe these flow 90cc's over 191's. These flow less than 191's. They come from the P-3000 pump.. I guess some Volvos had them.. they're 7mm diameter, like a couple other varieties of DV.

The ones that flow 90cc's more than 191's (or however much more) are custom ground *fluted* style DV's which look like 035's (7mm cousin of 024) with the shoulder ground down in diameter.

7s don't look that much different. Their avaliable from sdx.

They look like a small 024 (035) with the shoulder ground down in diameter.
Weston sent me a PM with a photo.

7mm beside 131

Those look a little bit different than the one Weston PM'd me. I'll post that.

Maybe not, it could just be the angle you shot at.. makes the flat topped flutes really pop out.
Anyway, here's the photo Weston sent me:

And I'll post some Bosch 024's now... along with my DDP 042's which are obviously not made in Brazil like the Bosch's.

You can see the toolmarks are different than the DDP's.

And the stamped numbers on the top are different... here are the DDP's.

They also had a hole in the bottom of my set of DDP's, while numerous sets I've seen have not had holes... also from DDP. They vary is what I'm saying.

Look at the stamped numbers on my set, versus the one posted above by Olee Poole earlier today... they look way different.

^^^ Let's see a picture of these.. If there the same as DDP's 042s I could have 4 sets Monday.. Post up pictures of the actual. .024s teach me something

Thanks!

My DDPs are over a year old.. thanks for pictures i was to slow on my last post.

Thanks

No, genuine Bosch just like in my test stand comparison write up. They come from a master Bosch distributor rather than a dealer.

lol this went from the "I have the only 024's left in America" to "I have 3 sets in my basement" type deal. hahahahaha

either way good info.

The DDP 042 that i have .024s do have a Bosch stamp on the holders?? They also have a cleaner look/finish than your Brazil ones.

Here a set of .022 totally forgot I had these the band is thinner with two flats. I may have a set of 191s somewhere here.

Thanks!

Well Weston and Jeff at Mumau told me what I said...

It was about 6 months to a year ago that Weston said Bosch 024's were not available anymore. Or at that time perhaps.

And now Jeff at Mumau confirmed it last month.

I guess AHall is just OG and has the real deal connections that none of the rest of us have. Either way, that's great. I wasn't all pumped up to have the last set, I actually think it'd be better if they kept making them.

So I consider it good news that they can be gotten.

DDP's ones do have less toolmarks on the flutes and the DV seat.
I would venture a guess they are still made in China

I have a friend (or two) who's interested in a set of these.. so I sent you a PM.

Well I got the new 7mm comps in. I like em, fuel harder and seem pretty clean for what they are. Only thing is the idle is kinda trashy now? It idled a bit rough before but now its a bit worse. When i put it in gear cold it lopes like crazy, gets better as it warms up.

Yeah 7mm DVs don't idle too well on our P-pumps..
Not only do they idle rough and low, but on automatics, they drop in RPM more when you put the thing in gear.

That's why I only think they're good for manual trans trucks.
I hated the 035's (7mm 024's) when I had them in, for that reason.

ahh ok, sounds like its normal then. oh well, I can live with it.

It's not "normal", it sounds as though one may be not sealing entirely, or there is another issue which was pronounced by the change since you said it was a bit rough before.

mine idle dead smooth. although when it cold and the idle is low it will lope in gear.. i would say raise the idle
