Spring Fling 2013 !!!!!!!!!!!!

Stock spray pattern.... And i didnt touch the tuning.. Im pulling them once again and sending them back..

George, there's no reason to pull them. Your running larger injectors with the same tune. Your probably dragging your rail pressure down trying to feed them.

Your injectors are close to the same size as mine and I have to walk a fine line with my duration table to keep my pump from struggling.

Run some logs the way it sits and see what the rail pressure is doing. That doesn't cost you a dime. It might surprise you what you find.

Rail pressure is key to making hp. If you don't have it, you ain't makin it.

Looks like I missed all the fun again this year! 3rd row seats to George Strait in NC happened to win out... May bring the ford in the fall though, I'll see if I can drag Jetpilot out too!

Will

I agree with this! I would def tune the thing..... you will see the beauty in big injectors!! less duration! idk what timing is at but you will find a happy spot for those aswell... I would never expect hp gain without a retune on a bigger injector!

also I know you will maintain rail but play with pulse! get that extra hp from fuel you dont need... and so you stayed with 04.5 bowl pattern then?

Yeah that was my first thought as well. No one needs to be that close to the tires. Buddy got the short stick there.

And congrats to VaOutlaw. That's some sick power and way to stuff Dimitri! LOL

not too mention if a turbine wheel decided to let go, specially on that dodge. right thru the chest.

one thing I learned this weekend, don't judge someone by what others say on the net, give them a chance, meet them in person, and keep an open mind. You may find that they aren't at all like some folks say they are. I know I have done my fair share of wade bashing, but my bashing is all brought on by what I directly observed. From what I saw this weekend, Dmitri is a stand up guy, not overly secretive, and actually good to hang out with. He also stepped up and made a nice donation to the cause. Some of you might have had other experiences, but I wonder, how many of the smack talkers have ever talked with him face to face, let alone bash him to his face. It would be different if he told everyone to stay the hell away from his truck, or pulled a Robert Meek stunt, or walked out on a big bar tab...... ok off my soap box for now.

^ this. I agree Dmitri is a good guy from what I have seen. He's very excited about everything to do with the sport which isn't a bad thing lol. Just a tad hyper

I want to thank everyone who came out and made our event such a success this year.
First, the crew @ DGR for hosting us once again, they did a great job of getting us up and going, and we stayed on schedule, actually ahead of schedule to the point we squeezed 4 trucks in before lunch that weren't on the schedule due to all the slots filling up so fast. One of them was Shane Imhoff, who had a clean silver 3rd gen dodge, and then walloped the rollers to the tune of 915hp on fuel. I never expected that from that truck, it was quite the sleeper and really sharp.
Second, I want to take a moment to thank all of our attendees who stepped and made sure we had plenty of food to cook and eat and I don't think anyone went away hungry. That was our biggest crowd ever, and people donated the food to make sure we had enough. THANK YOU!
I want to thank my fellow club members who stepped up and cooked the food, and then cleaned up the mess when everyone went home. Next year, people parked up on the hill, please consider trying to pick up your garbage. I realize that's a huge effort, to clean up after one's self, but let's try. If I learned to do it, anyone can.

Sunday, while the crowd was significantly smaller, so was my help, and I saw Mikmaze helping on Keith on the grille. Thanks Mike! Little things like that really mean a lot. I am sure there were other people who pitched in that I didn't get to see as I ran around like a maniac, so to those I missed, thank you as well.

I can't wait for the Fall Brawl, I should have the exact dates nailed down in a few weeks and I'll get the details up when I do.
Without any more lengthy speeches, here are the results.
The Curtis Rice Memorial Bracket Shoot out was won by Richard Byerly, who guess 343 hp, and ran a perfect 343.00 on his last run. Unreal. We go by the run closest to your guess, not necesarily your highest run. Runner up was AJ Hollingshead, who ran a 685.33 on a dial of 686hp, so he was .67 on his closest. For the 3rd event in a row, 1st and 2nd place were within 1hp of their guess.
I have Richard's address, if anyone (Gordon?) knows AJ's address, I'll get the plaques in the mail.
