Truckers, lets see your rigs!

I realize that this may be a stupid question....but is a truck with a C12 even worth looking at? 99 Pete 379 127", 13 speed, airleaf suspension, paperwork on an overhaul 120,000 miles ago, good tires. Brakes at 75%, price is 18,000 obo.

I'll be grossing roughly 90-95,000.....I think a C-12 may be underpowered for that even though its a 450hp engine

I'd stay away, they never seem to get the mileage that they claim, especially heavy.

Pretty much what I figured. I just want to make sure I buy something that's going to make money and be a good, solid truck for a few years

Years ago an old guy told me "better to buy a horse and work it like a pony than buy a pony and work it like a horse".

My problem is I have fine wine taste and a grape juice budget. Haha. That's why i even bothered asking about it, but I absolutely agree with that statement

Newest find, 2000 379-127", 984,000 chassis miles, less than 20,000 on an in framed 6nz@475hp, 13 speed, 3.55 ratio, fresh paint, asking 29,900

I love sleepered rigs... just cant justify it with the gate holes where we haul out of..almost always cheaper than day cabs too.

Here's the new rig. 2015 Peterbilt 289....250" WB, 18spd, 3.55's, with the 78" bunk. At least I think that's what Pete calls that bunk now.

Almost looks like it's just a 60" unibuilt in the pic

What the straightpipes? Is that a glider kit or are those all look and no function? Haha

Yeah it looks exactly like a 63" standup to me

09 386 was a 63" standup, and theis is almost identical, but they call it a 78" now I believe. Dumb, but it's the same stuff

How else are you supposed to have a new truck that runs....2000 model 6NZ at 550hp in there, 7" mitre's with internal mufflers. Sounds great, not obnoxious for the driver.

Just realized I typed 289...good thing you guys know what I meant.

2015 389

And before anyone says anything, the chicken lights are ordered:Throwup:

I hate chicken lights...but the driver wants them.

You've gotta have something to fill the enormous gap between the frame and the bottom of the cab/sleeper
