John, I frankly don't care. But what really bugs me and other potential customer is the "REAL SOON NOW".

Sure, put out a date... But when that date comes and goes, say something. It prevents posts like theses. That's how you step up and be better then the "Edge's" and the "bully dogs" of the world.

if you have to ask you probably can't afford it !!
it will be waaaay cheaper than the other options .

Never did ask....

But now that its clear its more than I can afford and way cheaper than the rest , I completly understand.

Not trying to start a pissing match.
But how often do companies release their "new" products on the first origanal release date???? I see release dates getting pushed back all the time.
Yeah a straight foward answer would be great or no hints at all until the companies are 100% sure they are ready for a release.
At least Bob did come on here and told us what the issue was.
Either way I'm still patiently waiting but I do hope its released in time for TS

Gang,
I have finished the new software's for the Smarty's in this moment.
Next week I want to go through all off them one more time to make sure there are no glitches 'n bugs. I think the first beta testers will get their new toy within next week.

I'm sorry for being late on the release date but we have run into some major compatibility problems between the different ( possible ) versions and their
(possible) future updates. Well, looks like we got through all of this.

Since we had to wade through ALL software's and their versions...
I took the time to revise all of them on the tuning side of things.
When we'll release the UDC versions for the Smarty(s) there will be a major switch in the tuning; I call them new tunes the " Low Smoke " version.

In poor words, at least the same performance as before but with a fraction of the smoke! Maybe I've had to reduce some responsiveness down low in the throttle ( I said MAYBE ) but the smoke is GREATLY reduced....

Then again, since we had the redo the firmware's for all Smarty's, we have been able to manage to convert the S06's into S06PoD's with a simple software update. Also this will become available next week ( of course free of charge ).

Well, right now I'm so over worked that I need a couple days to relax some.
More detailed news next week!

Thank you for you patience!

The company I work for..... Sticks to our schedule for customer facing releases. Every year. There is no failure in that because we kinda have to follow the school year. heh. Sure maybe a minor little thing here and there has been missed/pushed back, but the flagship products (UDC would be flag ship) do not fail to be released on time.

So maybe I'm coming from a different perspective with little room for failure. :) But it's not impossible and it's often done in the software industry.

For argument sake; If I were a project manager for MADS... I'd say a dead line to have something working, done, and perfect would be right around "now" because that's when the vast majority of the county will have their trucks upgraded and testing starting. Race tracks up here open this weekend. --- But this is just my opinion from years or experience in IT in a fast paced, never fail environment.

yeah. it's going to be nice to just floor it and let the computer figure out the throttle. :)

Thanks Marco, just in time for me....LOL

Don't worry about all the other nonsense some folks post, they have never been a one man band, so to speak. I am taxed the same way where I work. It's better to hold off a little and catch most of the glitches than to put the software out and have issues.

Just like the rest of Mad's products they are quality. I am sure that Marco is going over it thoroughly and getting all the bugs out and that takes time. I can't wait to get my hands on it and try it.

Thanks for the update Bob and Marco. Next few weeks should be interesting for us 03-05 people. Been looking for some bit of custom tuning for a while. Wasn't much of a fan of the way SSR worked. And I'm glad you didn't try and meet the projected release date with the compatibility issues you found. I hate unfinished products forced out the door for a damn release date.
