what would cause my truck not to fuel?

The boost leak is the elbow on the front of the compressor? you dont have to put an elbow in there just put a 1/8npt plug in there.

Charles, if my truck is in fact fueling fully and only makes 35psi and 1200* with no smoke at WOT and only a hair when spooling I'd be tickled pink. But I highly doubt with my setup that that's the case. I was seeing 45psi and 1500* with my 62 and a busted ADR. Get a new ADR and a 66 and I'm down to 35psi, 1200*, and no smoke and no explanation as to why. Go back and read all of my threads on my truck and you'll understand where I'm coming from.

I checked voltage at the APPS at WOT and it was reading 3.55v but ill set the ADR to read APPS percentage tomorrow and let you know.

Lmills, thanks on the ECM but I think I may have one down here I can borrow. Ill let you know.

I got a new elbow for the turbo tonight and I'm gonna swap it on tomorrow. Mine gave up the ghost tonight and I can hear the leak inside the cab at 15psi so its leaking bad now. Ill let yall know if that changes anything.

Thanks again for yalls help. I know yall are tired of hearing me gripe bout this damn truck but hopefully soon ill be able to serve all the nay-sayers their plate of crow. LOL

I think you have a Squirrel problem..... A Common Rail ought to fix that problem right up.....

I think its the boost leak, or the map senor, or maybe something is wrong with your new turbo? the wastegate stuck open?

I don't think its the wastegate cause the turbo spools awesome. Ill check in to it today.

MAP sensor is a couple of years old so it might be time to replace it. I'm gonna fix this boost leak this afternoon and see how that works.

ADR shows boost right? If the boost on the ADR matches closely to your analog gauge then map sensor should be fine

I'm just trying to point out, that if the truck is "pulling the hardest it ever has" maybe you should re-evaluate your own definition of what is a "correct" amount of fuel/egt/boost.

At the end of the day, the setup that produces the most power without damaging the engine is the "correct" one right?

If the truck is running the strongest, and you don't feel like it's delivering the fuel, have you considered that the larger turbocharger might have cleared the smoke, dropped the egt and lowered boost? Or do you think the bigger charger is making more power despite the pump delivering less than stellar output?

I'm with someone above, it sounds like you need to make friends with your local dyno operator.

The thought of the charger actually dropping boost and egt's and clearing the smoke has crossed my mind several times. And if that's the case then this truck should be well over 500hp.

I beleive that the charger is making more power even though the truck isn't fueling. Reason being is that with the 62 and the jacked up ADR I would have a constant stream of black smoke out of the exhaust. Not a thin one either. Enough to where I could lose the road behind me at 47psi of boost. Now with a bigger turbo and a "fixed" ADR I have no smoke at WOT and only 35psi of boost. This leads me to believe that while yes the truck is making more power from the lack of smoke, I don't think it's fueling up to it's full potential.

And bribing the dyno operator has crossed my mind at every dyno for the last 2 years. LOL

How much money and time do you plan to waste before addressing the real issue?

Electronics are for stereo's, not injection systems.

You obviously haven't read the thread. This is my last shot at 500hp with a vp. 215 p-pump goes on this christmas.

I did lose a few psi, goin from a 62 to a 66mm comp., but it shouldn't be that low! why don't you just replace the o-ring in the elbow? i picked up 10psi from havin it cocked sideways a little, and the truck ran good afterwards

Got a brand new o-ring in it. Got a new elbow that I'm gonna put on the truck after work today.

SMOKE AND EGTS WILL NOT BE DOWN IF HE HAS A BOOST LEAK. ITS NOT THE FREAKING O RING *bdh**bdh**bdh*

Why dont you take it to a track? E/T and Mph will give you a good power estimate. Even if you could find someone with a G-tech thing. Those seem to be fairly accurate. Dynolysicious on the Iphone seems to halfway decent even.

Cause I'm to lazy to go to the track that is an hour away to be honest with you. And since I'm 95% sure that my truck isn't working right it's not worth the time, effort, money, and abuse on the truck. But your right, I do need to go to the track cause that will give me a good idea of what it's doing.

dude, lemme look around in storage and find my extra ECM. ill bring it with me this weekend whether you need it or not..
