Water to Air Intercooler Pictures

Do these air to water leak any water? Thought of putting one on my drag truck. Im worried that it will leak water on the drag strip.

The water is contained in the tank. Shouldnt leak unless you crack the case.

He's probably nervous about the same thing I am. Over 70psi blowing tanks off or ruining the core allowing water into the charged air line. Also I'm curious of what would happen if i tried to move 2800cfm through a 1500cfm rated cooler.

The same thing that happens when people continue running the stock air to airs with huge twins.

People have run large compounds through stock intercoolers. But they arent made with Chinese parts either.

I blew my stocker out with a small set of twins then again with a big single.

Yet they have held 100psi and stayed together. Ive also seen them fail low. I have heard good reports of the frozen boost coolers holding 110psi. Makes me a little uneasy. I'll probably make some phone calls and see if I can get a Type 17 shaped cooler made. For the cleanest plumbing an air/air shaped water/air will be needed.

Yeah it's up and down, my cheapo ebay air to water has been holding 65-70 so far. It's rated at 70.

I like to keep my shizzy clean, built it in the garage :rockwoot:.

Intercoolers are on the way. Going to order the pumps today. Has anyone tried the Meziere remote electric water pump? 20gpm flow rating. Would one be enough or one per intercooler?

i think that should be plenty. mine is smaller than that but i just got 1 cooler. it flows fast.

2800 cfm through a 1500 cfm cooler means major flow loss, you will lose power been there found out the hard way. $.02

Here's a setup we just finished on a customer's 2.6 truck. Weight box up front with 30 gallon tank made into the middle.
