Its looking good if ya ask me
There are too many flaws in the CR system to be able to have the fuel delivery capabilities that are possible with a mechanical system. Don't get me wrong I like CR engines and the control ability that one can have over them, but for the foreseeable future maximum fuel delivery at RPM will remain with the mechanical system.
Jason
There are others.
So much for the Eye candy. how bout a little more??
wtf how can you call that a duramax? Its not. Its a one-off custom built 6.6 liter V8 turbo diesel.
Cool I guess for the gee-whiz factor, but its not a duramax.
OMG,Here we go again. You better get on the phone and tell Chris how to build it then. Hey guys, If you want to see how wound up you can get duratothemax, Put Holset turbo's on it.
Now, I am curious when we are going to see pics of this super build.
Blasphemy!!! ALL HAIL THE MIGHTY CR!! oke:Its looking good if ya ask me

You didn't get to see the Frame and Engine Pic in his Avatar the other Day. I think he changed it keep people guessing.
guys the bottom line is no matter what chris and flax are doing its gonna be a strong runner! ive known flax for a while and known chris for about 2 yrs now and they play to win. they our doing something different but they wouldnt be doing it if they dont think theres something there. Being first yr out it will be strong and tough to beat even being the first to have that style of engine in that class. there class act people and there not building this to place in the middle of the class, there buildin to win, and i love it. my hats off to you guys and look foward to pulling against ya we'll have alot of fun this season!
This stuff literally cracks me up that the bowties are seeming upset that we kicked the CR to the curb but the cummins crowd is welcoming it. If we didn't think that this setup is going to lethal....we wouldn't be spending every waking hour of everydays free time making this thing happen. Me and Chris are blessed to be surounded by some of the best in the sport such as Cory, Jeremy Straley, Eric Stacey, Kyle Michael...and the list goes on....and to beat it all....we all live within 1.5 hours and 4 of them live within 20 minutes of each other. This is Mod truck central for the country and the expections are very high. We all are here to win and have an edge on the next guy. If we wanted to build two new truck and make them both cummins....what in the hell is that getting us. Everyone on this forum know that the duramax is the next big player and it is here to stay. This is not a cheap adventure...if we wanted to do something that is proven; the cummins is the way to go. There has to be people that think outside the box in this sport to make it progress as forefront tractor guys such as Danny Dean with Hypermax and Art Arfons. The bottom line is this, if we felt the common rail TODAY has the ability to turn 7000 RPM, fire the enormous amount of fuel fast enough, I can garrentee Id do it...untill then we will run these non-duramax engines....

P Pump yours oke::Cheer:
I freakin LOVE it/them!!! I'll still claim as DMAX!
I'm just extactic to see someone going that next step with the Duramax... each year they get pushed a little farther than the year before (this year was Wes in his super stock truck). Next year, it's these guys and whomever else is apparently building one for the mod class. Bottom line is IT'S AWESOME!!
we could argue all day about whether they are "real" duramax engines or not (I still say they are) but I'd like to think they are hopefully close enough that everyone with a duramax can hopefully learn from what these guys are doing.
I have at least one more year of playing with a HEUI motor. I am doing it for the challenge and personal gratification of it. Anybody can make a mechanical motor run, but how many can make a HEUI motor run? It would be kinda foolish to finally have a bag full of tricks and never try them out. oke:
Don't for a second think that I don't have a shop full of parts and a notebook full of sketches and notes for a new truck. There is something brewing in the alps of Champaign County it will just take some time and money - and will be built as a complete replacement for the red beast
Of course we have. But I don't know of any Front Covers with Mechanical Injection for a Duramax floating around :what: Keep up the good work.
