Can we talk about triples?

From what I understand the real great thing is the tuneablity of triples over twins.

Speaking of tunablity of triples, has anyone that is running triples tried two different sized primaries?

I would think if you had some sort of valve in the exhaust, you could probably increase the spool up of triples over a similar sized twin setup.

No but messing around with two different exhaust housings can unlock some hidden power.

Exactly..............wait Ive said too much.

ALPHA TEAM GO

I like tacos.

169012 is a not ETT s464, 1.10 t6 with 83/74mm wheel, .90 T4 housing for it goes for about $200

Yea I was thinking that too but it was $500 new, knew I'd have to figure out what housing to buy ect as the local turbo guy just deals in applications. I've had a few calls in for sometime now but none are returned........guess I'm a little fish.

Would love to have some price quotes, that's what I was looking for and some knowledge about the subject.

How about Cost??

What's a 3.9" HX82 cost?? $4000+??

I have 3 S471's sitting here, 1 with a .90A/R T4, and two with 1.10A/R...total cost to my door, under $2600. That's less than half price of the S471/HX82 set I was going to build, and should provide as much air, at lower pressure, and lower intake temperatures.
Plumbing is the only downfall, but I don't think it will be bad at all!

I guess I just let the cat out of the bag:D
Chris

itll be cool to look at thats for sure :rockwoot:

Saw Wideopen's setup yesterday. Badass to say the least. From talking to Zane about it for 30 seconds he seems very pleased with it. I was hoping to see it dyno but they wanted to mess with the wastegates a bit before they would. Made sense to me.

Hopefully they get some pictures up of it...hint hint to JD WOP.

So what about two S465's (w/ 1.0 and w/1.1 exh housings) feeding another S465 (w/ 0.9 housing and an ext. gate)?

Light around 2200-2300 rpm and flow enough air for 1500 hp?

I think your spread is too big, I think that the manifold charger will run out of steam before you hit the efficiency range of the atmospheric chargers.

For a pair of 465's I think you should be looking at something in the ~74mm range for you manifold charger.

I'll let you know when I get the 3 - S471's running...that's my plan anyway!

Chargers are here, chassis should be getting close.

Did we meet???

I don't thinki have 1000 bucks in all thre of my turbos for mine but they are smaller than everyone eles

I have more than that in mine, but thanks to Mumau Diesel, it was probably less half what a set of BIG twins would cost.

Chris

DzlJim made a compound triple setup work. Didn't run it long though. BUt it looks sweet as hell lol.

No, I talked to Zane very briefly about the setup. Just walked over and poked around then snapped a few pictures. I believe you were talking to a few people when I went over.
