Can we talk about triples?

Red turbos a hint as to whose it is?

I dunno.................. LOL
I know who did the chargers......... Have no idea about the rest, other than the fact that the guy that did the chargers does not own the truck.

gonna need more than 100 PSI if running below 4500 on a 24 valve.

however, if you spin it faster...say 5000 to 6000 rpm, you can drop the boost some
Sorry, forgot to add at my spec'd 4500rpm. The numbers have actually held within 8% of predicted on the dynojet. Pretty good for a wing & a prayer! :hehe:

Hopefully be done in a month wasent going to post this but why not I guess.

So are you going to mount the manifold turbo normal or reverse/backwards?

Cliff: Got ya on the (3) 66's, wish I knew how a 465 or like would drive, might be lots better on top!

Jim

I have been stuck on third shift. I can't get **** done. I will be back on day shift Monday so I will fire up the tig welder. I will post some pics soon. Mike

Hats off to you guys doing the things your doing. I guess I don't have the patience or the money for 3 chargers. Heck I barely have enough money for 1 as it is haha!!

Yes Jim, we took it out behind the barn and shot it.

Id go with the BB66, maybe a pair of 62's. That would really depend on the flow of the chargers.

Im not really qualified to say a whole lot about them yet though. Ive been talking to some people and this is the route I will be going. Mine will be all S400 frames, or large HX's also.

I've been looking at this too, (2) S400's will be a little tight for me keeping everything in there as per street truck, looks like it will take a little but of stagger as there doesn't seem to be room sitting side by side but It's not like I have (2) frames here.

The main reason is the 400's are just a whole lot cheaper, a pair of 300 versions is just too much money, even with non-gated housings.

Have you been reading my mind Jim??

:evil :evil
Chris

I found (2) 400 frames (locally) that I can have for free to see how everything fits then go from there, 465's with T-4 .9 A/R's sounds fine to me.

Jim

I got one (junk) 400 here, I know it has this huge housing on it but dang, can I run a request chit for more room. With the alternator in place and no cutting short of the shroud it is going to be tight, now looking at filters, exhaust (2 into 1) ect it's different world, might have to over think this one.

Jim

Having said that I have a part number.....B/W 169012 but it has a T-6 flange and the housing is too big.

Jim

just like parallel twins, whats the point of parallel primaries, two s465's or one s595, same end result.

and the parallel secondarys..... :bang:bang:bang

Point of parallel primaries is when you can't get enough air out of one. IE. When you can't get that 4.1"+ HX8* to move enough air, you add a second one... :ft:

well that i can see, but i dont think many (any???) one is requiring air for 3500+ horse

How about Cost??

What's a 3.9" HX82 cost?? $4000+??

I have 3 S471's sitting here, 1 with a .90A/R T4, and two with 1.10A/R...total cost to my door, under $2600. That's less than half price of the S471/HX82 set I was going to build, and should provide as much air, at lower pressure, and lower intake temperatures.
Plumbing is the only downfall, but I don't think it will be bad at all!

I guess I just let the cat out of the bag:D

That was the same reason I did it as well, Two hx-35's cost me a case of beer. ~ Equivalent to an S475. Towing "twins" on the truck running for under $500.
