EFILive Beta First Impressions

Not to take sides, but it's a tuning issue. 12/24v don't have the issue and they've got the same crank.
It may just be nature of the beast, but I'd like to see tuning ruled out first.
Maybe there is some emissions reason? A lot of sheidt happens because of that.

Any more goodies coming our way. The more info the better. :pop:
Here is an update we posted on our site yesterday

Cheers
Cindy

Just a quick update, the scantool is still being worked on. Paul has locked himself away in a dark room with no phones or human contact!!, we hope that by next week the beta testers will have scantool to play with.
We've had a bunch of ECM reads sent in too, the good thing there is only one of them was an ECM Operating System we hadn't seen before, so it looks like majority of peoples trucks will be supported from day one.

Cheers,
Ross

So maybe looking like a late march release? Thanks Cindy and keep up the good work!

Cant wait for the release! Ill just need a tuners number on speed dial to help with some dyno testing! lol

With 4 and 5 dollar diesel in the near future, what will efi bring to the table for mpg gain over a smarty pod? If efi could get me +3mpg it would be worthwile!!

that shouldnt be a problem. just having the smooth maps should get you something. box tuner maps look like a dang dog chewed them up. their either go or no go

Like Dan said Paul hopes to have the Scan Tool to the beta testers early next week (note; it's already late Saturday afternoon in our time zone)

Cheers
Cindy

Cindy, any release of scan tools yet? pulling seasons coming fast just trying to get the truck and options where they need to be. Thanks Danny

The scan tools are available for a while, if talking about data logging, not as of this morning Danny.

thats what I meant sorry. Yeah im just worried its not going ot be out before may 1st.. I will be screwed!!!!!!!!

EFI has been burning the midnight oil http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=10BbpGKLXqk (bad bun on the down under), and has made progress. Things look good for beta data logging within a week. Huge step taken.

At least they say diesel at the beginning of the song.

That video is "restricted" for Australian residents. We are fans of the Oils in our household.....even if Peter Garrett turned into a prat when he became a Senator for the labour party (so much for his environmental passion he sang so strongly about). To top it off his Home Insulation Rebate legislation burnt 100's homes to the ground....

Back on topic, next week will be EPIC, although the testing process is a little daunting. The scan tool coding changes are monumental and we need to ensure all existing controllers and functions remain in tact.

Cheers
Cindy
