HTT wastegate TEMPORARY FIX, while waiting for the real

Anxious to hear how they work. There is room to go bigger on the shaft, but I'm hoping it won't be needed. My stock one lasted 14 months so I'm sure this one will be all I need.

x2

mine gets there tomorrow

i called ahead and made sure they put my name on one of the ones you sent them

thank you very much for spending the time to do this

don

ron made 40 of em and sold em all to htt

the folks that originally built the housing

I know Ron did,but thought Ron could make one for me.I had a 64/71/13 made from E.D..Never had a problem with it,but I traded it for twins.62/480 MPI setup. The original owner told me that it wasn't good for driving in town.We both have 150 sticks, but he also had a 06 with a Wicked pump.

He told me,it was very laggy until about 2,500 RPMs.Also,it would kick in after 20psi.So before 20 psi,I will probably be very smokey right?I loved how the 64 spooled;I don't mind lag at all.But lag until I get into 2k RPM range bugs me.Got to love the California tree huggers.

Any tips on how to spool the twins? Its a 62/71/13,but its not a polished housing.Just normal one that Nathan sells.

Sounds like your WG is stuck open.

Hook up a regulated air source to the actuator on the secondary charger and see where it opens. If it has one of the springy thingies instead of an actuator, tighten it down a whole bunch and see if that helps.

Well, I suppose that was UPS at the door.... housings here! I'll be installing tonight!

Now where is that damn amsoil shipment. heh, JUST got the email from amsoil as I type this.. oil here tomorrow. They took forever to fill this order.. normally they ship next day if I order at night. that was Tuesday night.

Also, the turbo blanket wires arrive today! so I'll be able to reinstall the sock and blanket.

and it dont have to be broke off and gone like yours was

as soon as the arm bends far enough that the slop on the pucks cant compensate...

you are thru

mine gets here tomorrow :rockwoot:

again, want to thank ron allen for taking the time to do this

did you guys know he didnt even bill htt for the arms?

pretty darn nice!

:thankyou2:

holly crap? no billing? You got your name on the product don't ya ron?

HTT SS: RonA addition

or

HTT SS. Wastegates by RonA

I'm not that nice! I sent them a bill. Nice people to deal with. Wish I time to make more for them.
For the record, It's HTT's gate from HTT's drawings. I'm just a metal butcher.

It is crazy he isn't charging them.
Hopefully they'll cut him a deal on that GT55R.

Ron is a super nice guy full of info! I'm glad he's around he's very helpful to the diesel community.

Almost to perty looking to put on the truck.. Better table center piece.

For the record. I've paid very close attention on my trip to UPS and back.

I can see the gauge start to flutter at 12-15psi. Really flutter at 20. and flutter up and down 4 psi or so up near 50... Having the gate at 50 improved low end spool, hence the high ish boost.

Software #6 is rather quick spooling and nice to drive BTW.

How much air pressure do you have to put in the actuator to make the linkage get loose?

That's how it came from HTT. I was tossing the idea of leaving it on no air, or maybe hook up the air to it. or just putting on the bullseye.

there is no way to adjust that gate on the truck until I get an adjustable elbow with the air setup.

I'll get my compressor rigged up right now and see when it opens.

If I want 45 PSI of boost. What am I looking at for this thing? 45? 50? 60? (so a little drive pressure does some of the work?)

Or would I just assume, HTT has it set correctly right now?
