Post 60' Times, Manual Transmission

Heres a 1.74 60' with teriable wheel spin @ PRP and i dont shift till well after the 60' marker. Matt is clearly shifting befor the 60' marker in the vids there for makes the 1.48 even harder yet to beleive!! Not trying to bash anyone here, just stating my thoughts!

Nice video.
Not so nice red light.

My best 330 foot is 5.55 followed by a couple in the 5.60s.

So whats the best drag clutch out there?

THanx, IT happens sometimes!!LOL!

THis was the first day i used a line lock, It took some getting used to, OUt of 5 races that day i snuffed it on the line the first two times, red lighted the 3rd and did good on the last two!!

12.52 is flat moving! Good job.
Maybe I'll be able to trap 109 before the year is over. LOL

1.69 As of last night 5/20/2009

275/55/16 M&H drag radials
2nd gear launch
3400 rpm
4x4

Preyy good Darius, Gotta go for the 3rd gear, I bet with thos stickies and 3rd yuo get er goin goos, it might not help you 60 much but 1/8 will gain good!!

Yeah, I noticed with the 28" tire the 60's are great but the 330 and 1/8 mile it falls on its face.

3rd gear launches are the next learning curve. I was running 12.8 - 12.9's all night on the drag radials.

well i finally got to the track this weekend and let me say first that it was a lot of fun but a lot more difficult than i thought. my reaction times were horrible but my best run was. r/t .62 , 60ft 2.07 , 330ft 5.77, 1/8et 8.89 @79.1mph, 1/4et 13.9 @92.7mph. 4x4 3rd gear launch, 40psi, sbcdd 3250, 385/75/16, hp est 500-550. I tried rolling right from 3rd to fifth but it took about 3 sec to get it jamed in gear so those times were about 15.5 eta, and in fourth gear it seemed to fall on its face at about 85mph but got me a better time. Im starting to think buillet auto swap.

Only guy starting in first?

Slick Willie, 1.888, 4x4, 1st, 37" x 13.50" x 18", 500 +, Dual Disc 3600#

Is first a granny gear or regular on your tranny? 2nd gear on a NV4500 is normal starting gear when not towing heavy.

My granny gear is labeled L, and then there's 1-4, then OD. I call them Low and 1-5, so I guess my first is second for all you other guys. I bet we're all starting the same.

Had to order the truck to get the manual. Found 2 in the entire state to test drive but they were both over 500 miles away from me at the time, so I just ordered it and hoped for the best.

You can barely see the knob, but it's:

R - 1 - 3 -OD
L - 2 - 4
