SSR New Release Info and Results Thread...

My #'s are very similar to yours if i recall without looking through my notes. Mine is a 64/71/14 over 480 and flux 6.2s
To be clear though.. you blew a injector with these settings in vs 17B (pre inj off)??
17B ran the RP up on 1 setting but worked when I had preinjection on also.. I wonder whats so diffrent with the 04-05s that make them the red headed stepchild of tunning. I'm starting to think of buuying a 07 & swaping out just to get a tunner that works.

Just wanted to say congratulations to Jade "Cummins610" for putting down 1094hp last weekend, on a stock 396,000 km long block that has never had the head off. Only engine mods are springs, push rods and studs. Everything else was just bolt on supporting mods, done with SSR tuning.

Here are my past 3 runs. these are all the same tune, truck runs differnt in all 3 i feel like. I've tried so many things with timing in the past 6 runs. I have tried taking a lot of low load timing out ive tried taking some high timing out ive tried both, The truck has a manuel file on it, but still will defuel during a shift which is where a lot of the skipping and studdering happens. Any help would be greatly appreciated. currently im at 30 HL (which is where i made the most power on the dyno), and 24 LL. The thunder in muncie pull the truck actually fell on its face in 2nd gear locked. I'm at a very confused stage right now.

I remember a step in Smartys docs that states lower timing 2-4 from best numbers on Dyno if tuning to run on the track.. If tuning to run on the Dyno leave the numbers alone.. From the You Tube clips i does not sound like a timing issue.. Sounds more like loss of fuel? Could duration numbers be to high or CP3/controls or fuel pump going bad on you?
Not sure if this may or may not help but best of luck..

Thanks Yeah i could try to do some differnt things with the duration, I wouldnt think the cp3 controls are going bad but who knows? haha, The frustrating part is when its done cutting out and messing around it runs real strong. Just getting it to settle in is the problem

Same tune one defuels one doesn't, anyone?

have you tried just the standard smarty and see if it goes away? I was there at thunder in muncie would have let you borrow mine to try it out

No I haven't, thunder in Muncie was embarrassing to say the least, tuning with the ssr is like throwing darts in the dark. The same tune does not act the same from night to night. The truck has a manual file that bob sent me, but it hardly ever acts like its right. The truck either runs like crap for 100 ft and I end up 10 ft back or so or I smooth it out and I'm way back. I'm so sick of it I could scream. No way to really log what I'm doing, idk how to adjust an adapt to an unpredictable variable. Idk I'm just frustrated right now.

fwiw, smarty had some new movement in their files on the 29th. jr 04 06 6.7 I think, not sure if its new software, or organizing going on.

Saw the files also.. Kept watching hoping something else might be happening..

We run SSR with the pre injection turned on.
With it turned on it won't run right

same tune that run clean at 70 degree temp hazes really bad at 95. That part bugs me big time!

Jason,,,,,,
That is not only a problem with the SSR either,it is quite evident with the newest release for the S06.
