The Garmon built "Interceptor" build status!

HELL YEAH BROTHA..... You really need to get that second boost guage in ASAP... your overworking your top turbo is why your numbers are so low... I am trying to thing at the moment but if my memorey is correct you need to tighten the spring on the wastegate...

TS is on the schedule for now.....I've already got the whole week off in advance......I just need to find a tow rig and trailer....I'm not gonna go that far with a trailer if I break!!!!

Hell yeah... Right now were planning on being there if all goes well were goona hook up with Rob aka one ton stop in and kick epa violator's but andd Bluechrome too!!! LOL....

Anyways I am stoked your trucks up and running again... Wish i could have helped you turn wrenches instead of just being on the other end of the phone... LOL
 
Damn, I guess I know what to expect from mine next week when its back to running. I dropped the compression a bit as well, but I bored .020 over so maybe it won't be as bad as what you and Ty seem to have. At least I hope so.
 
Yeah, sorry Big Swole,....don't want to jack your JOY!!! just I've put a lot of thought into this rattle, Cause I wanted to avoid it if possible...some how I avoided it.

You all, with twins and that spring deal, school us on setting it......So far I found with it on the loose side, the big charger does more work, and seems more oompfff in the top end.

tighten it down, and more boost fast, but tight, High exaust pressure.

It's possible that this IS JUST the way it is now!!!! I just hate the thought of having to do THIS all over again just to get rid of the Rattle!!!!!:bang

Yeah I'll definitely post results here..Waiting to get everything finished before I start a thread on the whole thing. Kinda like you its been a 3 month long ordeal. Trashed 3 pistons in Houston back in mid October.

Looking forward to seeing yours in action at TS. :rockwoot:

this gives me an idea for a new class.... The " driven to, raced and driven home class " Now, that's a class to be respected LOL

But are you guys convoying up to TS? I planning on going myself and if you guys are doing a convoy I wouldnt mind meeting some of you guys and cruising up there w/ you guys. :Cheer:

there's an idea LOL. Rockingham is first though so, you'll be able to cut your teeth there to see what it can do :rockwoot:
 
What is the rail pressure doing? Rail pressure thats higher than normal values in the lower RPM ranges will cause an increase in rattle at low engine speeds.

Bigger injectors might help some too.

We may try to hit a test and tune before then......Either way...I can't wait to see what it'll do.....Heading back down to Jeff's here in a bit....He may meet me to see if we can dyno it a few times and tune a bit!!

I've kept the Smarty on Stock for RP and with the MP8 off, it still does it....

Gonna head down to pic it up today in about an hour...Gonna play with it a bit.....

I was thinking that I may should have gone bigger on the injectors!!! lol
Not because I knew about the rattle but for More Power!!!:evil

I'd be willing to try anything Don!!!! The truck is Bad A$$ but it'll be freakin embarassing to take a women out on a date in this thing with that sound!!!!
They'll think we're gonna be stranded due to a major failure any minute!!!!!

What do you consider " normal " values at lower rpm's ? My RP ramps up pretty quick but, as far as I know, there's nothing I can do about it. Are you saying larger injectors will slow the RP ramp rate or keep it lower at lower rpm's ?
